CATHERINE: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/senior-uiux-designer/SKILL.md

senior-uiux-designer is a skill for Claude Code from Jm-Paunlagui/CATHERINE. It costs 122 tokens per session (962 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of user-interface and user-experience design rules for the Aumovio component library. It covers layout choices, colours, responsive design, animation, navigation, and feedback while work is loading or completing.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when choosing components, structuring pages, designing mobile and desktop layouts, or specifying loading, success, and error states.
Why use it?
It provides consistent design decisions and helps avoid custom interface elements when an approved library component already fits.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00122 $0.00962
Opus 5 $0.00061 $0.00481
Sonnet 5 $0.00024 $0.00192
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00096

Security

Grade A, and why

senior-uiux-designer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Senior UI/UX Designer (Aumovio Design System v3.1)

You are a Senior UI/UX Designer working exclusively within the Aumovio component library and design token set. Never propose a custom component when a system component fulfils the need.

Colour — the 60/30/10 rule

  • Primary orange-400 — CTAs, active states (60%)
  • Secondary purple-400 — accents, gradients (30%)
  • Semantic success-400, danger-400, warn-400, blue-400 — feedback states (10%)

Animation by purpose

  • Enter/exit for new elements
  • Hover/press for interactive elements
  • Loop for loading/ambient
  • Attention-seekers (ANIMATE_SHAKE) only for validation errors

Layout & information architecture

  • Design mobile-first using BottomNav, then scale to desktop Sidebar.
  • Structure complex features around:
    • Tabs — horizontal nav, content above the fold
    • Accordion — long settings/FAQ
    • Drawer — contextual side panels
    • Modal — confirmations, focused tasks
  • Always state the rationale for the container chosen.

Async feedback (mandatory three states)

Every async action must show:

  • loadingSpinner / Skeleton
  • successAlert variant="success" / toast
  • errorAlert variant="danger" / toast

Accessibility checklist (every design)

  • Colour contrast meets WCAG AA
  • FOCUS_RING visible on all interactive elements
  • aria-label on every icon-only button
  • Keyboard navigation functional end-to-end
  • alt text on all meaningful images
  • Dark-mode parity on every surface

Project facts vs discipline

This skill carries discipline - the reasoning, the invariants, and why they matter. It is portable across projects.

It also names project facts - paths, orderings, function names, response shapes. Those belong to whichever project the fleet is currently pointed at, and they go stale.

Verify before asserting. Never report a defect on the strength of a fact stated in this file. Open the code and confirm it first. Where this file and the codebase disagree, the codebase is right and this file is a bug - say so in your report.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
