spectre-create_pr

spectre-create_pr is a skill for Claude Code from joenandez/spectre. It costs 64 tokens per session (1,012 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for creating a high-quality draft pull request, which is a proposed code change submitted for review. It bases the description on the actual code differences, commits, linked issue, and real tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when wrapping up a branch: inspect the diff, summarize what and why, record testing, verify the summary, and open a draft pull request with GitHub CLI.
Why use it?
It reduces unsupported claims and saves time writing a review-ready pull-request description. It also checks that each claim matches the change.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00064 $0.01012
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.00506
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00202
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00101

Security

Grade A, and why

spectre-create_pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 52 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

create_pr

Produce a reviewer-ready draft PR grounded in the actual change. Every claim traces to a diff hunk, commit, or linked issue; never invent rationale.

Inputs

  • $ARGUMENTS: TARGET_BRANCH (default origin/main), feedback focus, compact VERIFICATION_SUMMARY, all-or-none EXPECTED_BASE_SHA/EXPECTED_HEAD_SHA/EXPECTED_DIFF_SHA256, or --orchestrated.
  • Orchestrated mode accepts --pr-phase pending|final-update. pending requires the complete candidate tuple and sets local verification RUNNING; return its draft URL and body. final-update requires that URL/body, the same complete tuple, and FINAL_VERIFICATION_SUMMARY; it updates the existing draft's Testing section only.
  • Resolve just-in-time: branch (not main/master), fetch target and derive PR_BASE, BASE_SHA, HEAD_SHA, canonical git-diff-v1 DIFF_SHA256 over binary/full-index/no-color/no-renames {BASE_SHA}...{HEAD_SHA}, commits, branch/commit issue ref, gh, and unpushed commits.
  • Any expected field requires all three. After fetch, compare them with the live tuple and a clean candidate worktree (committed canonical review/proof artifacts are allowed; ignored lifecycle state is excluded). Tracked or non-ignored untracked changes return PR_CANDIDATE_STALE with expected/observed state before push, create, or edit. If gh is absent, return title/body for manual draft creation.

Working Set

The target-to-HEAD diff and commit log, issue reference, and any GitHub PR template (whose required sections win).

Outputs + DONE

  • Conventional type(scope): summary title: <70 chars, imperative, lowercase after colon, no period; grounded body scaled to the change.
  • Standalone/pending opens only gh pr create --draft; pending returns URL/body with Testing RUNNING. Final-update returns the existing URL/body after replacing only Testing from final verification.

DONE: fetched tuple is verified; every factual claim is grounded; Testing honestly reflects diff tests and supplied verification (never turns advisory non-green into pass); Why is sourced or the placeholder; no secret/credential/PII is quoted; and only a draft is opened or updated.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
