horka-ds-extractor

horka-ds-extractor is a skill for Claude Code from joey-barbier/ClaudeCode-Plugin. It costs 129 tokens per session (2,128 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A documentation tool that examines a frontend codebase’s visual building blocks and records them in Markdown. A design system is the shared set of colors, fonts, spacing rules, components, and icons that gives an interface a consistent appearance.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to document Tailwind settings, CSS variables, component libraries, icons, and visual styles so another designer or AI can reproduce the interface.
Why use it?
It removes the need to manually discover and describe the visual rules of an existing frontend project.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00129 $0.02128
Opus 5 $0.00064 $0.01064
Sonnet 5 $0.00026 $0.00426
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00213

Security

Grade A, and why

horka-ds-extractor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Design System Extractor

Analyze a frontend codebase and generate comprehensive design system documentation in Markdown. The output must be precise enough for another AI or a designer to reproduce every visual detail without access to the source code.

Scope

Extracts and documents visual design patterns. Does NOT:

  • Modify source code or styles
  • Create Figma files or design tool assets
  • Implement or refactor components
  • Document business logic or API contracts

Phase 1: Detect Project Stack

Use Glob and Grep to identify the frontend framework and CSS approach:

  1. Package manager: package.json, bun.lockb, yarn.lock, pnpm-lock.yaml
  2. Framework: Vue/Nuxt (nuxt.config, .vue files), React/Next (next.config, .tsx), Svelte (svelte.config), Angular (angular.json)
  3. CSS approach:
    • Tailwind: tailwind.config.*, @theme blocks in CSS, @tailwind directives
    • CSS-in-JS: styled-components, emotion, @stitches
    • Vanilla CSS/SASS: *.scss, *.sass, *.css with custom properties
    • CSS Modules: *.module.css
  4. Component library: Shadcn (components/ui/), custom DS (designSystem/, ds/), Material UI, Vuetify, Radix
  5. Icon system: Material Icons, Lucide, Heroicons, FontAwesome, custom SVGs

Report detected stack before proceeding. If detection is ambiguous, use AskUserQuestion.

Phase 2: Extract Design Tokens

Read the theme/config files identified in Phase 1. Extract ALL of the following categories. For each token, document the exact value (hex, px, rem, oklch -- whatever the source uses).

2.1 Colors

Read Tailwind config, CSS custom properties, or theme files.

Extract and categorize:

  • Primary/Secondary brand colors
  • Semantic colors: success, warning, danger, info
  • Neutral scale: grays, backgrounds, borders, text colors
  • Surface colors: card backgrounds, page backgrounds, overlays
  • Domain-specific palettes: status colors, platform colors, chart colors
  • Dark mode overrides (if applicable)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
