tekjusagan

tekjusagan is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from jokull/icelandic-data. It costs 32 tokens per session (1,376 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research skill for Iceland's public income-history dashboard, which uses Power BI to show changes in income, assets, gender, and education across demographic groups over about 25 years. The dashboard is operated by the Prime Minister's Office using data from Statistics Iceland.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to examine long-term income, asset, gender, or education differences between demographic groups in Iceland.
Why use it?
It provides a way to investigate Icelandic living standards and inequality through the dashboard's authenticated reports. It also identifies the report routes and access method needed to retrieve its data.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is uv run python scripts/tekjusagan.py token.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.01376
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00688
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00275
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00138

Measured 6d ago against content hash 918f1d288466, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tekjusagan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tekjusagan — "The Income Story" (Prime Minister's Office)

Iceland's most widely-cited public income/inequality tool. Interactive dashboard showing changes in living standards for demographic groups over ~25 years (income, assets, gender, education). Owned by Forsætisráðuneytið; data source Hagstofa Íslands.

Architecture

A thin Angular SPA (tekjusagan.is) that embeds a token-authenticated Power BI report. Unlike public /view?r=... embeds (e.g. landlaeknir), Tekjusagan's Power BI is private — clients fetch a short-lived embed token from Tekjusagan's own backend, then initialize the Power BI JS SDK with that token.

API

Endpoint Purpose Returns
GET https://tekjusagan.is/api/report/04ba62a1-8e38-44bd-a6b0-cb63d1fec3d8 Issue a Power BI embed token for the report {"embedToken": "<1773-char JWT>", "id": "04ba62a1-..."}
Field Value
Power BI report ID 04ba62a1-8e38-44bd-a6b0-cb63d1fec3d8
Power BI group ID a08a802a-ca7b-4103-9052-18a85d009ec4
Embed container https://app.powerbi.com/reportEmbed?reportId={id}&groupId={group}
DAX endpoint (authenticated) https://wabi-europe-north-b-redirect.analysis.windows.net/explore/...

Auth flow: The token is issued without any input credentials (public anonymous endpoint). It scopes access to this one report for the current session. Tokens expire after ~1 hour — re-fetch if a long scrape session is needed.

Dashboard routes (5)

The SPA exposes five Power BI report routes. Each triggers its own DAX queries — drive them via page.goto() rather than clicking menu items (menus only expand the nav tree).

Slug Route Content
radstofun /skyrslur/radstofun Þróun ráðstöfunartekna — disposable income over time
eignirskuldir /skyrslur/eignirskuldir Eignir og skuldir — assets and debt
kynmenntun /skyrslur/kynmenntun Kyn og menntun — gender × education
kynmenntun_details /kynmenntun/details Kyn og menntun — detailed breakdown
lifshlaupid /lifshlaupid Lífshlaupið — life-course income trajectories

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

tekjusagan is a skill published in the GitHub repository jokull/icelandic-data (52 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 32 tokens to every session and 1,376 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
