Browser Automation

Two CLI backends drive real browsers. This skill picks the right one per task and gives verified commands for each. Both keep the user's logged-in sessions in their own persistent profiles, so both can operate authenticated sites (verified: Gmail inbox, X home, Google Calendar).

  • cmux browser — low-level, deterministic CLI. Each command is independent, fast (~1s), free (no LLM), and every surface is isolated → excellent for parallel fan-out and repeatable/scheduled workflows. Engine: WKWebView (no file downloads, no network capture).
  • aside — a real AI browser. Two surfaces: aside repl (Playwright-compatible JS: snapshot / locator / download / dialog / PDF) and aside exec (an autonomous agent you delegate whole tasks to). Engine: full Playwright (downloads & dialogs work). exec plans, has built-in web search, and works across logged-in apps — but costs tokens and is non-deterministic.
