pexip-status-api

pexip-status-api is a skill for Claude Code from Josh-E-S/pexip-mgmt-mcp. It costs 155 tokens per session (1,781 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to Pexip Infinity's read-only Status API, which reports the platform's current running state. It covers active conferences, connected participants, conferencing-node load, alarms, licensing, media, and call quality.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for dashboards and live checks such as listing current meetings and participants, checking whether a room is locked, viewing node or media health, and investigating a participant's current call quality.
Why use it?
It separates live monitoring from past-call history and configuration changes, making it easier to answer questions about what is happening right now.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00155 $0.01781
Opus 5 $0.00077 $0.00890
Sonnet 5 $0.00031 $0.00356
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00178

Security

Grade A, and why

pexip-status-api scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Pexip Infinity Management — Status API

Read-only API exposing the live runtime state of the Pexip Infinity platform. Use for monitoring, dashboards, "who's in this meeting right now" tools. For finished calls use the History API; for changing configuration use the Configuration API.

Base URL

https://<management-node-host>/api/admin/status/v1/<resource>/
  • Same authentication as the Configuration API: HTTP Basic over HTTPS (or OAuth/LDAP if configured).
  • Same 1,000 req/60s rate limit applies platform-wide across all admin APIs.
  • Same Tastypie-style listing: meta + objects, ?limit=&offset=, ?field=value, ?order_by=.
  • Schema introspection at …/<resource>/schema/?format=json.
  • GET only. Status is read-only. Use the Command API to change state.

Core resources

conference/ — active conference instances

/api/admin/status/v1/conference/

One object per currently running instance of a VMR/Service. Empty list = nothing is in progress. Useful fields: name (the dialed alias / service name), service_type, tag, start_time, is_locked, is_started, guests_muted, participant_count, instance_id.

Filter examples:

  • ?service_type=conference — VMRs only.
  • ?name=team-standup — instances of a specific VMR.

participant/ — currently connected participants

/api/admin/status/v1/participant/

One object per active call leg. Useful fields: display_name, remote_address, protocol (api, sip, h323, mssip, webrtc, rtmp, teams, gms), call_direction (in/out), call_quality (string '1_good', '2_ok', '3_bad', '4_terrible'), connect_time, conversation_id, conference (name of the parent instance), service_tag, is_presenting, is_muted, role (chair/guest), system_location, media_node (which Conferencing Node is handling media).

Common query: ?conference=<conference-name> to list everyone in a specific live meeting.

worker_vm/ — Conferencing Node status

/api/admin/status/v1/worker_vm/

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
