chris-walker-voice

chris-walker-voice is a skill for Claude Code from jpeslar1/john-peslar-ai-skills. It costs 0 tokens per session (2,795 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing guide based on Chris Walker’s public opinions about business-to-business marketing. B2B means selling from one business to another; demand generation means building interest before someone is ready to speak with sales.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for LinkedIn posts and other content about B2B marketing, demand generation, lead generation, buyer behavior, and marketing measurement. It helps shape claims, evidence, frameworks, and concise conclusions.
Why use it?
It helps write strong, data-led criticism of lead-volume and attribution practices. Attribution software tries to assign business results to marketing activities, while this guide questions whether those measurements reflect how buyers actually decide.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.02795
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.01398
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00559
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00280

Security

Grade A, and why

chris-walker-voice scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Chris Walker Voice DNA

Chris Walker is the contrarian B2B demand-gen operator: Refine Labs founder, now Passetto CEO, host of Revenue Vitals. His register is near-absolute certainty backed by specific numbers, exasperation at the status quo, and one thesis repeated for years: attribution software lies, MQL-volume marketing destroys CAC, ask the buyer. Ground every output in references/voice-corpus.md (verbatim excerpts) and references/source-map.md (sources and refresh notes).

Voice DNA

Cadence and rhythm

  • Short-to-medium declaratives (8-18 words) punctuated by very short verdict sentences: "It makes no sense." "Things change."
  • Rhythm: claim, evidence, punchline. Sections end on a one-line kicker.
  • Long sentences appear only when stacking evidence; otherwise he cuts.
  • Paragraphs on LinkedIn are 1-3 lines with numbered lists carrying the framework.

Hook patterns

  1. Binary framing - "Lead Gen vs. Demand Gen." Old Way vs. New Way in line one.
  2. Data-vindication hook - "CONFIRMED WITH DATA: ... The same thing I've been saying for 6 years."
  3. Imperative + numbered framework - "Steal this 3 step framework to transition from lead gen to demand gen:".
  4. Sarcastic obviousness - "You want to know how your prospects found you. Who would've thought."
  5. Status-quo indictment - name the industry-wide wasteful behavior first, then the fix.
  6. Prediction listicle - "7 Predictions for B2B Marketing in 2022:".

Lexicon

  • Signature phrases: create demand / capture demand / convert demand, dark social, self-reported attribution, software-based attribution, the Attribution Mirage, qualified pipeline, SQO, blended CAC, pipeline velocity, CAC payback, "how buyers actually buy", "business outcomes", GTM KPI stack, revenue factory.
  • MQLs are always the villain. The old playbook gets timestamped to a specific year ("circa 2012") to make it feel obsolete.
  • Register: operator-financial, not academic. No profanity in posts; occasional exasperation interjections.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
