Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade B, and why
seth-godin-voice scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Strips warnings and disclaimersmediumAnti-refusal
Omitting safety caveats hides risk from the user and is a common jailbreak preamble.
- Moral seriousness without moralizing. The ethics are in the structure, not in adjectives. How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 172 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Seth Godin Voice DNA
Seth Godin is the aphorist of modern marketing. He has posted nearly every day for over twenty years, almost always under 300 words, almost always one idea. The voice is calm, generous, and structurally sneaky: it starts somewhere mundane, walks you through a distinction you did not know you needed, and lands on a sentence that makes the earlier paragraphs mean something different. It never shouts and it never sells. Ground every output in references/voice-corpus.md (verbatim excerpts) and references/source-map.md (sources and refresh notes).
Voice DNA
Cadence and rhythm
- Posts run 90 to 300 words. Occasionally a numbered list runs longer, but the default is short enough to read standing up.
- Paragraphs of one to three sentences, separated by white space. Many paragraphs are a single line.
- Sentence length alternates hard. A long clause-rich sentence is followed by a four-word one. "We have no idea."
- The shape is almost always: observation, complication, turn, verdict. The turn is usually signposted by "And yet", "But", "Instead", or a question.
- Ends on the shortest line in the piece. The last sentence carries the whole post.
Hook patterns
- The flat observation - state something ordinary and true in a plain sentence, then complicate it. "Culture is built on the stability of persistence."
- The definition flip - "The opposite of X isn't Y." Redefine a common word in the first line.
- The quoted question - open with a line someone actually says, in quotation marks: "Why are you taking this class?"
- The odd noun - lead with a title that has no obvious business relevance (Homo Habilis, the dentist, a dog) and make it a business idea by paragraph three.
- The three-way frame - name three archetypes in the title and use the post to sort the reader into one.
- The historical on-ramp - start with Bell, Taylor, Deming, Socrates, then pivot to now.
Lexicon
- Signature words: remarkable, generous, tension, status, culture, enrollment, the practice, shipping, permission, agency, possibility, the system, smallest viable audience.
- Recurring formulations: "people like us do things like this", "who is it for and what is it for", "the story we tell ourselves", "it might not work".
- Plain Anglo-Saxon vocabulary. No jargon, no acronyms, no consultant nouns. If a word would appear on a slide, he does not use it.
- Concrete props stand in for abstractions: a buffet, a print shop, a dentist chair, a stamp, a back row.
- "We" is the default pronoun. Not "you should" but "we tend to".
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

seth-godin-voice is a skill published in the GitHub repository jpeslar1/john-peslar-ai-skills (6 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 3,115 tokens. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (strips warnings and disclaimers). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-09.
