create-prd-feature

create-prd-feature is a skill for Claude Code from jpoutrin/product-forge. It costs 18 tokens per session (1,460 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An interactive wizard for creating a Feature Requirements Document (FRD), a detailed description of one feature and how it should work. It gathers implementation details, priorities, and acceptance requirements.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to document a feature’s behaviour, technical context, priority, and implementation tasks.
Why use it?
It helps turn a feature idea into clearer instructions that developers and business stakeholders can review.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00018 $0.01460
Opus 5 $0.00009 $0.00730
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00292
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00146

Measured 2d ago against content hash 7f26099c817c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

create-prd-feature scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

  • "Which product/system does this feature belong to?"
  • "Feature ID or ticket number (if exists):"
  • "Epic or parent initiative link:"
  • "Your name (author):"

  • "What happens if we don't implement this feature?"
  • "Are there any workarounds users currently employ?"

4. Objectives & Success [Section 4 of 12]

  • "List 3-5 specific, measurable objectives:"

  • "How will we measure success? (provide specific metrics):"

  • "Write detailed acceptance criteria (use Given/When/Then format):"

    Example:

Given: User is on the dashboard
When: They click the export button
Then: A CSV file with all visible data is downloaded

5. User Stories & Scenarios [Section 5 of 12]

  • "Primary user story (As a... I want to... So that...):"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
