gsp-doctor

gsp-doctor is a skill for Claude Code from jubscodes/get-shit-pretty. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,284 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project-health checker for the design workspace. It looks for structural problems, outdated outputs, configuration differences, missing files, broken references, and brand drift.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check a project or brand's setup, phase order, stored state, review status, references, and compatibility with newer workspace structures.
Why use it?
It helps explain why a design pipeline may be incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrectly set up.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01284
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00642
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00257
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00128

Security

Grade A, and why

gsp-doctor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Checks: structure, phase ordering, stale outputs, config drift, missing chunks, broken references, review status, brand drift, upgrade detection

Check for .design/ in the current directory.

If not found:

🩺 GSP Doctor — No project found
No .design/ directory detected. Run /gsp-start to start.

Stop here.

Step 1: Detect structure type

New dual-diamond structure: .design/branding/ or .design/projects/ exists Legacy flat structure: .design/config.json exists at root (not inside branding/ or projects/) Empty: .design/ exists but has neither

For legacy: run legacy checks (same as v0.3.0 doctor). For new: run multi-instance checks below.

Step 2: Scan all instances

Brands: List all directories in .design/branding/ that have a config.json with project_type: "brand" Projects: List all directories in .design/projects/ that have a config.json with project_type: "design"

For each instance, read:

  • config.json — configuration
  • STATE.md — phase progress
  • BRIEF.md — brief
  • brand.ref — brand reference (projects only)

Step 3: Run checks per instance

Load ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/checks.md — the full check catalog with pass/warn/fail criteria. Read it once at this step; do not load it before Step 2 because the applicable check sets depend on what was scanned.

Run only the sets applicable to the detected state:

Detected Run
Each brand instance B1, B2, B3, B4
Each project instance P1–P10
Always (installation) I1, I2, I3, I4, I5
Project has implementation_target: shadcn and .design/system/STACK.md exists S1–S5
Multiple projects reference the same brand X1

For each check, record the verdict (PASS/WARN/FAIL/INFO) plus a short instance-tagged message for issues.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
