Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00062 | $0.00942 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00031 | $0.00471 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00012 | $0.00188 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00094 |
Grade A, and why
grill-with-docs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 104 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
grill-with-docs
Adapted from Matt Pocock's grill-with-docs. A grill-me session that builds two artifacts as it runs:
CONTEXT.md— the project's shared language.docs/adr/NNNN-*.md— one ADR per non-obvious decision.
When to use: Required at packet-intake start of every build (default). Also during packet authoring before the run. Never mid-build — mid-run judgment goes to human-queue.md at the end.
This is the most leveraged skill in the set. A good CONTEXT.md from upfront grilling cuts subagent token usage by 30–50% and is what makes the autonomous build loop possible.
Workflow
1. Establish the lay of the land
Before grilling, read or dispatch an explore subagent to read:
README.md,package.json, top-level folder names.- Any existing
CONTEXT.mdordocs/.
This gives you the existing vocabulary. Don't invent new terms when one already exists.
2. Grill, but log
Run a grill-me session. Start with that skill's preamble if you have not already said it in this chat. After each resolved question:
- If the answer introduces a new noun or verb you'll use repeatedly → add it to
CONTEXT.md. - If the answer is a non-obvious tradeoff → start an ADR.
3. CONTEXT.md format
# CONTEXT — <project name>
## Glossary
- **Slice** — one independently-shippable unit of work in a adam build, defined by `slices/<id>/SPEC.md`.
- **Materialization cascade** — the chain of effects when a draft lesson becomes real.
- **Builder** — a Composer 2 subagent dispatched against one slice.
## Architecture in one paragraph
We use ... with ... boundaries. Data flows from ... to ... via ...
## Conventions
- All times stored as UTC ISO 8601 strings.
- DB IDs are uuid v4.
- We never throw inside React renders; errors bubble through ErrorBoundary.
## Out-of-scope concepts
Things the project explicitly does not implement. Mention them so future agents don't try to wire them up. Example: "We do not have user organizations. There is one user per resource."
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

grill-with-docs is a skill published in the GitHub repository Justinmendezai/The-Adam-Repo (12 stars, last pushed 18d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 62 tokens to every session and 942 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
