technical-content-writer

technical-content-writer is a skill for Claude Code from Kaos599/professional-skills. It costs 76 tokens per session (3,394 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing workflow for producing technical posts, articles, newsletters, threads, and essays in a specific person’s style.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for readable technical content about subjects such as infrastructure, model serving, data pipelines, and engineering trade-offs.
Why use it?
It reduces generic-sounding writing by studying example texts, focusing on verifiable details, and checking for weak or formulaic language.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00076 $0.03394
Opus 5 $0.00038 $0.01697
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00679
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00339

Security

Grade A, and why

technical-content-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 246 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Technical Content Writer

Distilled from 55 published writing-craft skills (copywriting, LinkedIn, ghostwriting, technical writing, brand voice, content strategy) plus 45 anti-slop skills. Method and provenance in ../anti-slop-writing/references/corpus-evidence.md.

What this is for

Content about technical subjects, written for people who could tell if you were faking it. Infrastructure, model serving, data pipelines, systems tradeoffs. The reader can check your claims, so the writing has to survive being checked.

That constraint is the whole design. Most content-writing advice optimises for persuasion. This optimises for being right in a way that is also readable, which is a different job.

The order matters

Do not draft first and fix later. Drafting before you have an anchor, persona, and voice signature produces something you then have to rescue, and rescued drafts keep their original shape.

0. Anchor → what is the actual system, domain constraint, and proof?
1. Persona → who is the author as an engineer, and what stance do they embody?
2. Calibrate → voice signature derived from exemplars or author profile
3. Shape → format mechanics and non-adversarial archetypes
4. Draft → in the signature and persona, against the anchor
5. Sweep → six editing passes
6. Gate → anti-slop audit + compliance checks, hard threshold
7. Ship

Step 0: Anchor

No anchor, no piece. This is the step people skip, and skipping it is why most technical content reads interchangeably.

Answer all four before writing a word:

The concrete thing The specific system, run, architecture, benchmark, or code artifact this comes from. Not the topic. The thing.
The domain constraint / tension What statutory, physical, mathematical, or systems constraint makes this hard? What boundary condition must be respected? (Never manufacture artificial contrarianism or strawmen).
The proof artifact The number, trace, benchmark, config, or clearing schedule that makes the claim checkable.
The generalizable utility The practical pattern or decision procedure the reader can adapt for day-to-day systems.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
