pi-cycle

pi-cycle is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from kayzaa/k.i.t.-bot. It costs 0 tokens per session (883 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of pi-cycle, MIT.

A Bitcoin market-cycle indicator based on moving averages and RSI. It compares the 111-day average with twice the 350-day average to flag possible cycle tops, and uses additional conditions for possible bottoms.

In plain words
What is it for?
Monitor Bitcoin cycle-top and cycle-bottom conditions, track the distance from indicator thresholds, and use the results in market analysis.
Why use it?
It turns several price calculations into clearer signals for spotting potentially overheated or oversold Bitcoin markets. These signals are historical indicators, not guarantees of future prices.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00883
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00441
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00177
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00088

Security

Grade A, and why

pi-cycle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (index.ts, pi-cycle.ts), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Pi Cycle Top/Bottom Indicator

Skill #80 | Category: Analysis | Inspired by: TradingView Pi Cycle Indicator

Detect Bitcoin market cycle tops and bottoms using the Pi Cycle indicator - historically accurate for identifying major BTC peaks.

Overview

The Pi Cycle Top Indicator uses the 111-day and 350-day moving averages (multiplied by 2) to identify market cycle tops. When the 111 DMA crosses above the 350 DMA x2, it has historically signaled BTC cycle tops with remarkable accuracy.

Historical Accuracy

Date Event BTC Price Accuracy
Apr 2013 Cycle Top $230 ✅ Within 3 days
Dec 2013 Cycle Top $1,150 ✅ Within 3 days
Dec 2017 Cycle Top $19,800 ✅ Within 3 days
Apr 2021 Local Top $64,000 ✅ Within 3 days
Nov 2021 Cycle Top $69,000 ✅ Within 1 week

How It Works

Top Detection

Condition: 111 DMA > (350 DMA × 2)
Signal: Extreme overheating - potential cycle top

Bottom Detection (Extended)

Condition: Price < 200 WMA and RSI(Monthly) < 30
Signal: Extreme oversold - potential cycle bottom

K.I.T. Enhancements

Beyond basic Pi Cycle, K.I.T. adds:

  1. Distance Tracking: How far until crossover?
  2. Velocity Analysis: Rate of MA convergence
  3. Time Estimation: "~X days until potential crossover"
  4. Multi-Asset: Apply to ETH, SOL, other crypto
  5. Alert System: Notify when approaching danger zone
  6. Bottom Indicator: Extended version for bottoms
  7. Confidence Score: Based on convergence pattern

Usage

import { getPiCycleStatus } from 'kit/skills/pi-cycle';

const status = await getPiCycleStatus('BTCUSD');

console.log(status);
// {
//   symbol: 'BTCUSD',
//   ma111: 68500,
//   ma350x2: 72000,
//   distance: -4.86%,    // Negative = not crossed
//   velocity: 0.5%/day,  // Rate of convergence
//   daysToConvergence: 10,
//   signal: 'Approaching',
//   riskLevel: 'High',
// historicalContext: 'Similar to Nov 2021 pattern'
// }

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
