leansdd: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/leansdd-adr/SKILL.md

leansdd-adr is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from kidpixo/leansdd. It costs 40 tokens per session (481 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for recording a technical decision as an ADR, or architecture decision record, in a Lean SDD project. It creates the decision file, adds its index entry, and checks for conflicting decisions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create, supersede, or reject documented project decisions with a verification step and human-controlled status.
Why use it?
It keeps decisions traceable and prevents a new decision from silently contradicting an existing rule or decision.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents); mentions AGENTS.md.

This is kidpixo/leansdd's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on leansdd itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything leansdd configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00040 $0.00481
Opus 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00192
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00096
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

leansdd-adr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Lean SDD ADR (create or supersede)

Creates the ADR file and its index row as one atomic step. Requires .ai/scripts/leansdd-check.py.

Create a new ADR

  1. Get the next free number (never hand-count): python .ai/scripts/leansdd-check.py next-adr
  2. Check for conflicts: grep decisions/index.md Scope column for rows matching the paths this decision touches. Read any matching Active ADR. If this decision contradicts one, it must supersede it (below), not coexist.
  3. If the decision overrides a constraint, quote the exact constraint in the ## Waiver section. Never relax a constraint without one.
  4. Write decisions/ADR-NNN-title.md from the template in AGENTS.md:
    • Status: Proposed (never Active — that is the human's call).
    • Scope: path/glob relative to the .ai/ parent directory, or *.
    • ## Verification: one runnable command or test id with expected result per check, or manual: <steps> naming the artifact a reviewer inspects.
    • Never invent facts; mark guesses (inferred — confirm).
  5. Append the index row: same status, same Scope, one-line summary, today's date.
  6. Bump the decisions/index.md stamp: python .ai/scripts/leansdd-check.py stamp
  7. Run python .ai/scripts/leansdd-check.py and confirm no new ERROR.

Supersede an Active ADR

  1. Set the old ADR's status to Superseded by ADR-NNN in the file and index row.
  2. Create the new ADR as above; reference the old one in ## Context.
  3. If the human has not approved the change, both stay Proposed and you flag it.

Rejected / withdrawn

Set the status in both file and index; leave the file in place. Do not delete ADRs.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
