What is airline-checkin?

A local Chrome-based airline check-in assistant. It uses the traveler's stored identity, loyalty, security-program, baggage, and seat details during check-in.

Use it to check in for flights, apply a Known Traveler Number or loyalty number, choose baggage information, apply seat preferences, and handle survey prompts.

It handles airline websites that block cloud browsers or automated services. It also reduces repeated entry of travel information and helps manage check-in pop-ups.

Airline Check-in

Automates airline online check-in using a locally-controlled Chrome instance (via CDP). Cloud browsers (Browserbase, standard browser_navigate) are blocked by airline anti-bot WAFs. The working path is: local Chrome for Testing, then playwright-core connectOverCDP(), then drive the browser.

Status

Working path verified on a major US carrier (Apr 2026). Pattern expected to generalize to other airlines with similar anti-bot posture.

Required user data

Skill reads personal data from ~/brain/concepts/:

loyalty-info.md — traveler identity: loyalty numbers, KTN, Global Entry, passport
airline-preferences.md — baggage default, seat preferences per airline

If these files don't exist, the setup script populates templates. User fills them in.

Pre-checkin checklist

Before triggering automation, verify:

KTN is documented for the traveler in loyalty-info.md
Loyalty number is active on the reservation (may require pre-linking in airline profile)
Baggage plan is determined (carry-on vs 1 checked vs other). Ask user if ambiguous.
Airline security stance. If the airline blocks cloud agents (Browserbase, etc.), use local CDP (default).

Browser control

Uses local Chrome for Testing via CDP:

Binary: ~/.agent-browser/ (Chrome for Testing)
Port: --remote-debugging-port=9222
Profile: --user-data-dir=<persistent-path> so cookies and sessions persist across runs
Stealth flags: --disable-blink-features=AutomationControlled, --password-store=basic, --use-mock-keychain
Driver: playwright-core via connectOverCDP(), not raw websocket. CDP handles navigation and context lifecycle much more reliably.
Mode: always headed/visible for monitoring

Before launching, clear stale sessions to avoid SingletonLock errors and WAF resets:
