dayan-agent-designer

dayan-agent-designer is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Kosmoray/dayan-agent-skills. It costs 30 tokens per session (226 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A design method for deciding whether a task needs an AI agent and, if so, defining its roles, data ownership, tools, limits, and evaluation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design a rule-based process, one agent, or a group of cooperating agents before implementation or deployment.
Why use it?
It helps avoid building a system that is more complicated than the task requires. It also makes responsibilities, permissions, failure handling, and human takeover points explicit.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00226
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00113
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00045
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00023

Security

Grade A, and why

dayan-agent-designer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Dayan Agent Designer

Use this Skill when designing an agent or multi-agent system. Start with the least complex viable form:

rule → pipeline → single agent → supervisor and specialists → parallel workers and reviewer

Every escalation needs evidence that the simpler form fails.

Design contract

  • Task surface: objective, untrusted inputs, output schema, completion and stop conditions.
  • Roles: one responsibility, one bounded input, one output contract, explicit exclusions, and a unique name.
  • Tools: minimum permissions, read/write boundaries, external effects, and credential handling.
  • State: one owner for each mutable state; no invisible shared memory.
  • Coordination: dependencies, concurrency limits, timeout, retry, cancellation, and conflict resolution.
  • Evaluation: accepted fixture, rejected fixture, adversarial case, cost/latency budget, and human takeover point.

Do not deploy or spawn agents unless the user separately authorizes execution. A design is not runtime evidence.

Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

dayan-agent-designer is a skill published in the GitHub repository Kosmoray/dayan-agent-skills (4 stars, last pushed 24d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 30 tokens to every session and 226 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
