customer-research

customer-research is a skill for Codex from krillinai/growth-skills. It costs 33 tokens per session (1,734 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research workflow for planning and combining customer research and surveys. It focuses on sampling, evidence, consent, uncertainty, and linking findings to decisions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Designing decision-focused surveys, analyzing research evidence, reusing compatible growth context, and stating limits or conflicts in the findings.
Why use it?
It helps avoid unsupported conclusions when interviews, survey results, or customer data are incomplete or unavailable.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.01734
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00867
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00347
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00173

Security

Grade A, and why

customer-research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Customer Research & Surveys

Reuse Growth Context

At the start, read .agents/growth-context.md when it exists. Reuse only product, customer, market, outcome, constraint, evidence, and routing fields whose scope, definition, source, and date remain compatible; state what is reused and surface conflicts or staleness before asking for decision-changing gaps. The file grants no system access or execution authority, and this Skill must not silently rewrite the primary diagnosis.

Integrated Capabilities

This Skill consolidates adjacent workflows behind one trigger. Use the main workflow for core requests. When a request matches a module below, read that module before executing it:

Turn a decision-relevant customer question into a responsible research plan, attributable evidence, bounded synthesis, and actionable learning. Work from public artifacts, supplied research, or approved private inputs. Missing interviews, transcripts, analytics, or customer access are unavailable, never a reason to fabricate quotes, motives, prevalence, or certainty.

Read research-contract.md for intake, evidence, consent, privacy, and output requirements. Read methods-and-sampling.md before choosing participants, interviews, surveys, observation, public review analysis, or mixed methods. Read synthesis-and-decisions.md before coding, quoting, forming themes, comparing segments, or recommending decisions. Use playbook-sources.md to cite the pinned Growth Playbook basis.

Select One Mode

Mode Use
plan Define the decision, research question, method, sample, recruitment, screener, guide, consent, and analysis plan
synthesis Code and synthesize supplied interviews, calls, surveys, reviews, support, win/loss, churn, or observational artifacts
decision Translate bounded research findings, counterevidence, and uncertainty into product, growth, marketing, segment, or evidence-acquisition decisions

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
