A set of instructions for reading and changing native macOS apps from the shell, including Reminders, Calendar, Notes, Mail, Messages, and Contacts. It explains which system interface to use for each app.

Use it when creating or completing reminders, checking calendars, writing notes, reading or sending messages, working with mail, or looking up contacts. It supports both reading and selected changes through macOS interfaces.

It provides a defined way to interact with macOS apps when normal command-line access is limited or unreliable. It also includes checks for a required calendar-and-reminders helper.

macOS app control

Drives the native macOS apps through three bridges:

Same primitives the mcp-macos MCP server uses. This skill calls them directly, so no tool schemas sit in context until something triggers the skill.

Setup check

Run once per session if anything fails:
