oh-my-design: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/omd-cjk-type-shader/SKILL.md

omd:cjk-type-shader is a skill for Claude Code from kwakseongjae/oh-my-design. It costs 310 tokens per session (3,626 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A web design skill for giving a large Chinese, Japanese, or Korean headline the appearance of wet sumi ink drying on hanji paper. The words remain ordinary selectable page text while a WebGL2 visual layer adds ink and paper effects.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for a CJK headline that needs ink pooling, drying, paper texture, feathering, and other screen-rendered brush effects.
Why use it?
It creates a calligraphy-like display treatment without turning the heading into an image, so people can still select and read the text normally.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00310 $0.03626
Opus 5.5 $0.00124 $0.01450
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00062 $0.00725
Haiku 4.5 $0.00031 $0.00363

Security

Grade A, and why

omd:cjk-type-shader scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/verify.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

omd-cjk-type-shader — 먹 번짐: CJK display type as sumi ink on hanji

Ink soaking into paper is the one image Korean, Japanese and Chinese writing share. This skill makes a big CJK headline read like it was printed or brushed in sumi on hanji. On a fast skim it should look like a calligraphy poster, not a filter.

How it works. The heading is ordinary DOM text in the ink color, readable and selectable from the first frame. The skill traces every grapheme where the browser laid it out and builds three fields from that mask: distance outside the strokes, distance inside them, and local ink coverage. A WebGL2 layer drawn over the text then adds only what real ink does:

  • wet → dry: the stroke starts glossy-dark with a soft bloom around it, and the bloom shrinks back as the ink dries;
  • pooling: ink collects darker along the stroke rim and at stroke ends and convex corners (low local coverage);
  • kasure: paper fibers show through the middle of thick strokes once dry;
  • nijimi: capillary feathering runs along a few paper fibers at some edges, chosen by low-frequency noise, never as an even ring around every glyph;
  • paper: a procedural hanji texture (SVG turbulence, no image) on the page.

It plays once when the heading enters the viewport, then the render loop stops. Line wrapping, keep-all, font swaps and resizes are re-traced.

Working example: examples/demo.html (single file, Korean + Japanese + Traditional Chinese). Proof: scripts/verify.mjs.

1. When to use / when not

Use when:

  • a Korean, Japanese or Chinese display headline (≥ 40px; hero, launch title, campaign line, section opener) should feel inked, calligraphic, "printed on hanji / washi / 宣紙";
  • the brand's ink and paper colors are known (DESIGN.md foreground/canvas, or the heading's computed color and the page background).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
