Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00128 | $0.01172 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00064 | $0.00586 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00026 | $0.00234 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00117 |
Grade A, and why
kx-quad-map scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 60 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

This skill uses progressive disclosure: the component identity, the QuadMap-specific hazards, the workflow, and the output checklist are here; the bulky per-layer JSON schemas, field tables, and the full worked example live in reference/. Read only the reference file relevant to your current step.
Reference Files
| File | Read it when you need… |
|---|---|
| reference/component-schema.md | The canonical options object, the top-level wrapper, the Basics / WTMS field tables, the per-layer schemas (Circle / Icon / Line common properties and sub-objects), the Actions item shape, and the Annotation / Export field tables plus the sub-sections summary. |
| reference/examples.md | A complete copy-ready minimal working example — a Circle-layer QuadMap with OpenStreetMap base layer. |
⚠️ QuadMap-Specific Hazards
WTMS.URL(note spelling — the JSON key isWTMS, notWMTS) must be set whenBasics.DefaultLayeris"Tile Server".Pointsis an array of data layer objects, each with its ownDataType("Circle","Icon", or"Line"). Do not confuse it with a single object.possiblePointsin each layer is auto-populated by the UI — always emit it as[]when building from scratch.- Tile server changes require a page reload to take effect (
DefaultLayertooltip: "Requires a page restart to see the new Default layer"). Basics.Projectioncontrols the WMTS tile projection ("WGS 84"= EPSG:4326,"Mercator"= EPSG:3857). Match this to your tile server's native projection.- The component uses OpenLayers — it is not MapLibre/MapTiler based.
Workflow
- Confirm the map source. Decide
Basics.DefaultLayer("none"|"Open Street (Default)"|"Tile Server") and, if using a tile server, theTileServerURL and its projection; setWTMS.URLfor a WMTS service. Component identity (key, definitionId,version) is in the identity line above. - Set the camera. Choose
CenterLat/CenterLng/Zoom, andFitToDataif the extent should auto-fit loaded data. See theBasicstable inreference/component-schema.md. - Build the
Pointsdata layers. Add one object per layer to thePointsarray. Pick each layer'sDataType("Circle","Icon", or"Line") and wire itsDataSource,ID,Latitude,Longitude, and the type-specific sub-object. Use the common-properties and per-layer schemas inreference/component-schema.md; always emitpossiblePoints: []. - Wire interactivity (optional). Add
Actionsitems to publish clicked/hovered values to a ViewState, configureAnnotationfor spatial filtering, orExportfor PNG export. See theActions,Annotation, andExportsections inreference/component-schema.md. - Match the worked example. Copy the closest shape from
reference/examples.mdand adapt it. - Validate against the Pre-flight Checklist below.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

kx-quad-map is a skill published in the GitHub repository KxSystems/kx-skills (16 stars, last pushed 8d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 128 tokens to every session and 1,172 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
