What is kx-specialist?

A skill for generating specialist and visualization components in KX Dashboards, including watchlists, hierarchical trees, order books, alert workflows, images, and charts. KX Dashboards are interfaces for displaying and interacting with data, often from kdb+.

Use it to create components such as EditableList, TreeView, Trade, ActionTracker, Bitmap, Graph, and other listed visualizations, referring to the schemas when a component needs detailed configuration.

It supplies component-specific rules for connecting dashboard elements to data and actions, including important differences between component types. This reduces mistakes when building less common visual or trading components.

⚠️ Specialist Component Hazards

Graph uses "Basic" (singular), not "Basics" — unique inconsistency across the platform.
Trade connects directly to kdb+ via connection name (not a data source binding).
Bitmap query must return title, width, height, data columns.
Visualization-only components (Sankey, Sunburst, Contour, ChartJS, ChartVega, ChartIQ, CompareChart) are not supported by generate.js — copy a working export and adapt.
