review

review is a skill for Claude Code from kyle-chalmers/ticketwright. It costs 40 tokens per session (5,572 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Independent quality review of a ticket's deliverables. It reruns the queries and walks a tiered validation pyramid to an APPROVE or REQUEST-CHANGES verdict. Run it before shipping.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00040 $0.05572
Opus 5.5 $0.00016 $0.02229
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.01114
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00557

Security

Grade A, and why

review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 299 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

/review

The check step of the lifecycle. /build runs this at the end of every build; run it directly to re-check after a fix, for a --deep panel, or on someone else's ticket. An independent second pass over a ticket's deliverables — re-runs queries, walks a tiered validation pyramid, sweeps for anti-patterns, and returns an APPROVE / REQUEST-CHANGES verdict. Reads .claude/config/stack.yaml; warehouse specifics come from the resolved target's adapter dialect_notes, so the same review runs against any warehouse — or several, when a ticket spans more than one. Read-only: it reviews and re-runs, it does not edit code (the build owns fixes). Independence is probed, never assumed: the capability probe below decides whether the second pass gets its own context, and the verdict records which review the ticket actually got.

How this skill asks the person something

The kit's one question rule, the same in every skill that asks:

  • Read capabilities from this skill's kit_paths.py --json probe the first time a question comes up, and keep the result.
  • capabilities.structured_questions is yes and capabilities.question_tool is not none → ask with that tool, within capabilities.question_limits (when that says unknown: one question per call, at most four options). Group up to the limit only questions that do not depend on each other's answers; ask a dependent question after the one it depends on.
  • Otherwise (no / unknown, or the probe failed) → ask in chat as a short numbered list, one question at a time unless this skill says a set goes in one round, and wait for an explicit answer.
  • The question content is the same either way; only how it is shown changes. No skill names a runtime's tool: the runtime's own adapter (adapters/runtime/<name>.md) does. A question tool is not available inside a subagent, so the main session asks.
  • Never invent an option. Options come from what this run found or the fixed choices a step names. A recommended option goes first, marked recommended, with where it came from; the person still picks. Each option says what choosing it changes, and free text is always possible (the tool's own "Other", or "or tell me something else" in prose).
  • Whatever the person needs to answer is already in chat before the question, so a picker never hides it.
  • A reply the kit asks for word for word (ship unreviewed, the yes before destructive SQL) stays typed: an unreviewed ship or an irreversible write is never one click. The external-send gate (go ahead) is asked like any other question once the full delivery plan is in chat: its first option is "Go ahead", which delivers exactly the printed plan, and with no question tool the person types go ahead.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

review is a skill published in the GitHub repository kyle-chalmers/ticketwright (4 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 40 tokens to every session and 5,572 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
