setup

setup is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from lakpriya1s/agent-rack. It costs 16 tokens per session (392 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup check for confirming that agent-rack is connected and that its configured coding agents can be used from the current Claude Code session.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after installation or when tools are unavailable to check the MCP connection, registered server, configuration, and agent availability.
Why use it?
It helps distinguish a missing plugin connection from an agent whose command-line program is not installed or whose workspace is not allowed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00016 $0.00392
Opus 5 $0.00008 $0.00196
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00039

Measured 3d ago against content hash cc30ef90645c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Verify agent-rack is actually connected and usable from this Claude Code session.

Execution

  1. Try calling mcp__plugin_agent-rack_agent-rack__agent_list_available.
    • If it succeeds: agent-rack's MCP server is connected. Report the returned agent list (same presentation as /agent-rack:agents) and stop — no further checks needed.
    • If the tool isn't available at all (not listed among your tools): the plugin's .mcp.json hasn't started the server yet, or it isn't registered in this project. Continue to step 2.
  2. Run claude mcp list via Bash to see whether agent-rack shows up as a registered server.
    • If it's missing, the plugin's .mcp.json may not have loaded — tell the user to confirm the plugin is installed and enabled, then start a new Claude Code session (MCP servers from plugins connect at session start).
  3. If agent-rack is listed but tools still aren't available, run npx agent-rack config-check via Bash to confirm the resolved config is valid and allowedWorkspaces includes the current project directory.

Output

Report what you found at each step you actually ran — don't claim success past the point where a check failed. If everything checks out, confirm agent-rack is ready and mention /agent-rack:run, /agent-rack:review, and /agent-rack:session-start as the next things to try.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository lakpriya1s/agent-rack (0 stars, last pushed 29d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 16 tokens to every session and 392 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
