What is mobbin-search?

A search tool for finding app, website, screen, flow, collection, and section references in Mobbin, a library of interface examples.

Use it to search for examples such as checkout screens, onboarding flows, app interfaces, website sections, and visually or functionally related references.

It helps you locate relevant design examples without loading the full Mobbin integration into the coding agent.

Mobbin Search

Search Mobbin from a focused skill instead of loading the MCP tool surface.

Setup

Mobbin requires authentication. If commands fail with missing auth, run:

npx -y @aos-engineer/mobbin-mcp auth

Use the bundled script:

node scripts/mobbin-search.mjs <action> '<json>'

The script delegates to mobbin-mcp skill <action> <json> and accepts the same JSON fields as the old MCP tools.

Workflow

Translate the user's request into the narrowest action.
Keep page_size small, usually 5 to 10.
Return the useful names, IDs, URLs, patterns, and elements.
When a result should become durable project context, use mobbin-capture direct capture actions:
