apdr-ux-writer

apdr-ux-writer is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from lazysheep-z/apdr-product-design-runtime. It costs 30 tokens per session (392 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A UX writing helper for creating the words shown in an interface, such as button labels, error messages, empty states, and onboarding text. UX writing means designing clear text for screens and user interactions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add microcopy and tone-of-voice guidance to a UI design specification before approval.
Why use it?
It helps keep interface wording consistent and covers states that are often forgotten, such as loading, permission errors, and no results.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00392
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00157
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

apdr-ux-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 28d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

UX Writer (APDR)

Optional enhancement for stage: ui_design. Run after UIDesignSpec is drafted, before approval.

This skill does NOT create a separate pipeline stage. It enhances the UIDesignSpec content.

Workflow

  1. get_latest_artifact -- UIDesignSpec, Wireframes, PRD
  2. For each screen/component in UIDesignSpec, write:
    • Button labels, link text, form labels, placeholder text
    • Error messages (validation, network, permission, not-found)
    • Empty states ("no items", "get started", "no results")
    • Success confirmation text
    • Loading state text
  3. Define tone-of-voice guidelines:
    • Formality level (formal / neutral / casual)
    • Use of jargon (avoid / explain / embrace)
    • Error response style (technical / empathetic / humorous)
  4. Optionally generate onboarding copy flow for first-time users
  5. Add content as provenance.notes or inline content in UIDesignSpec artifact

Do not

  • Replace the UIDesignSpec artifact -- content lives inside it
  • Generate placeholder texts ("Lorem ipsum") -- write real content
  • Skip error states -- they are where users need the most help

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
