ss-list-changes

ss-list-changes is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from lbk-open/super-spec. It costs 48 tokens per session (344 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A read-only inventory of OpenSpec changes in a repository. OpenSpec is a way to record software capabilities and proposed changes as structured specifications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review active and completed changes, their affected capabilities, and the files each change contains.
Why use it?
It quickly shows which changes are currently in progress and which were recently archived, without manually searching the specification folders.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00048 $0.00344
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00172
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00034

Measured 3d ago against content hash 15d0fae9342b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ss-list-changes scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

List OpenSpec Changes

Give a compact inventory of what is currently in flight and what was recently archived under openspec/changes/. This skill is read-only: it never edits files.

Inputs

Optional: how many archived entries to show (default 10).

Process

  1. Check that openspec/changes/ exists. If it does not, report that this repository has no OpenSpec baseline yet and suggest running the ss-write-spec or ss-reverse-spec skill to create one.
  2. Active changes — for every directory directly under openspec/changes/ (excluding archive/):
    • note whether it contains a proposal.md and delta spec files
    • list the capabilities its delta specs touch, cross-referenced against openspec/specs/*/spec.md
  3. Archived changes — list the most recent entries under openspec/changes/archive/, newest first, capped at the requested count (default 10). For each, show the archive date, change id, and touched capabilities.

Output

Present the result as a compact table:

Status Change Capabilities Files
active / archived change-id cap-a, cap-b proposal.md, specs/...

Do not edit any files.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
