ledger-live: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/domain-data/SKILL.md

domain-data is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from LedgerHQ/ledger-live. It costs 103 tokens per session (1,859 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A structure for building the data layer for one domain entity, such as a contact or device. It defines validation schemas, TypeScript types, identifiers, state, selectors, mocks, and API endpoints in separate packages.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when creating or reviewing packages under `domain/entity` or `domain/api`. It helps build validated data models, Redux state and selectors, test mocks, and RTK Query endpoints for one backend resource.
Why use it?
Data definitions, application state, and network code can become mixed together and difficult to change or test. This structure gives each part a clear home and keeps API details separate from entity data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00103 $0.01859
Opus 5.5 $0.00041 $0.00744
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00372
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00186

Security

Grade A, and why

domain-data scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Domain data: one entity, one api

One backend resource maps to one entity. Use data-layer-advanced when one response hydrates several entities. Placement comes from structure-flow, barrels from package-public-api.

Package Owns Never
@domain/entity-<name> schemas, inferred types, branded ids, slice, mocks, selectors React, network calls, an app store type
@domain/api-<name> endpoints, wire schemas, transforms, cache tags, hooks createApi, base URL, env reads

Reference packages: @domain/entity-contact and @domain/api-push-devices.

Entity package

domain/entity/<name>/src/
├── schema.ts         # Zod schemas (required)
├── types.ts          # z.infer types and the state type
├── schema.mock.ts # mock factories, parsed by the schema (required)
├── slice.ts # createSlice, initial state, default reducer
├── slice.mock.ts # mock slice state (required with a slice)
├── selectors.ts
└── index.ts          # export * only

Every source file has its *.test.ts. Slice, selectors and their mocks are optional: an entity can be schema-only.

Schema first. Write the Zod schema, then infer the type. Never hand-write a type the schema already describes, and never add Typia.

// schema.ts
export const ContactNameSchema = z.string().min(1).max(CONTACT_NAME_MAX_LENGTH).brand<"ContactName">();

// types.ts
export type ContactName = z.infer<typeof ContactNameSchema>;
  • Brand ids and constrained strings (.brand<"ContactName">(), CryptoCurrencyIdSchema in @domain/entity-currency-crypto) so two strings of different meaning cannot be swapped.
  • Reuse primitives from @shared/schema-primitives (NonEmptyStringSchema, DateTimeIsoSchema, HttpUrlSchema) and other entities' schemas, never a local copy.
  • Nullable means .nullable(). A field the backend sends as null is .nullable(); a field it may leave out is .optional(). They are not interchangeable.
  • Build values through the schema. A constructor such as contact(data) in define.ts returns ContactSchema.parse(data), so a branded value always passed validation.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

domain-data is a skill published in the GitHub repository LedgerHQ/ledger-live (624 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 103 tokens to every session and 1,859 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-29.
