DeepSeek Style Timeline UI

DeepSeek Style Timeline UI is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from LiskaDev/claudo. It costs 45 tokens per session (1,841 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of React and CSS rules for building a compact sidebar that shows chat history as an expandable timeline. It defines row sizes, small text, connector marks, spacing, and active-state styling.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to reproduce a DeepSeek-style chat-history sidebar or another dense, expandable timeline panel in a React interface.
Why use it?
It gives developers concrete layout and interaction rules when they need this particular dense timeline appearance. Without such rules, spacing and active states can easily become inconsistent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.01841
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00920
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00368
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00184

Security

Grade A, and why

DeepSeek Style Timeline UI scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

DeepSeek Timeline UI Guide

When instructed to create a "DeepSeek Timeline" or "DeepSeek style sidebar", study the examples/Timeline.tsx implementation carefully and adhere to the following strict layout and UX rules:

1. Vertical Density

  • Row Height: Use extremely compact rows. Set min-h-[26px] and my-px (1px margin top/bottom) yielding a mathematically dense 28px total item footprint.
  • Micro Typography: Use text-[12px] to reduce the visual weight of the text labels, keeping them firmly in "indexer/auxiliary" territory.

2. The Anchor Lines (Dashes)

  • Geometry: Horizontal anchor lines should be thin and slightly elongated (w-[14px] h-[1.5px]), forming a clean ragged-left border via justify-end.
  • Spacing: The text label ellipsis must hug the anchor line closely (mr-2 or max 8px distance).

3. Monochromatic Active States

  • Accent Colors (The Dash): It is highly recommended to use a sophisticated Signature Brand Color (like DeepSeek Blue or Claude Terracotta) for the active timeline node indicator (the minimal horizontal dash).
  • Monochrome Block Backgrounds: While the dash itself can be a vibrant brand color, keep the expanded hover/active container blocks (the background behind the dense text) strictly monochrome (e.g., bg-white/10 or bg-zinc-200) to ensure the UI remains uncluttered.

    ⚠️ Critical Brand-Color Implementation Nuances:

    • Light & Dark Contextual Tuning: Deploy raw brand colors (e.g., bg-blue-600 or bg-orange-600) for light mode dashes, but artificially brighten them in dark mode (e.g., bg-blue-400) to guarantee razor-sharp legibility without muddy bleeding against dark canvases.
    • Background Segregation: Even with an active brand color dash, the underlying container block MUST remain an inert neutral gray (e.g., bg-zinc-200/80 or bg-white/10), preemptively voiding any aggressive color clashes.
    • Visual Hierarchy Protection: Calibrate the horizontal dash's footprint (transparency and contrast) carefully. Its vibrant saturation must serve purely as a passive anchor, legally prohibited from stealing the focal gravity from the actual dense typography.
  • Inactive Dashes: Keep inactive dashes heavily muted (bg-white/20 in dark mode) so they don't fight with the dense text.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
