hero-motion-sync-ux

hero-motion-sync-ux is a skill for Claude Code from LiuYihey/Agent-Engineering. It costs 58 tokens per session (626 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A front-end animation workflow for synchronizing landing-page hero text with a changing molecule or 3D viewer.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when tuning hero transitions, shared timing and easing, molecule changes, loading failures, or the visual rhythm of a landing page.
Why use it?
It addresses mismatched timing, overlapping elements, blank gaps, white flashes, and uneven entrance animations between the two parts of the hero.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.00626
Opus 5 $0.00029 $0.00313
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00063

Security

Grade A, and why

hero-motion-sync-ux scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Hero Motion Sync UX

Goal

Make landing hero feel coherent: text and molecule switch on the same beat, use the same float-in feel, and avoid overlap/blank-frame/white-flash artifacts.

Apply When

  • User asks to sync hero text and molecule transitions.
  • User reports visual issues like overlap, flicker, white frame, or blank gap.
  • User asks to tune float-in speed/easing and keep both sides consistent.

Implementation Pattern

  1. Use one shared motion config

    • Keep cadence and motion tokens in one file (for example heroMotionConfig.js).
    • Put at least: interval, float duration, easing, offset, opacity/scale start.
    • Both text and molecule components must import these shared constants.
  2. Use one shared timeline source

    • Drive switching with one index in the page container (for example heroCycleIndex).
    • Pass the same index to text and molecule components.
    • Avoid independent timers per component in controlled mode.
  3. Prefer single-viewer molecule swap

    • Keep one 3D viewer/canvas; replace model in place after next data is ready.
    • Do not use layered cross-fade canvases unless required.
    • On fetch failure, keep current molecule visible and retry later.
  4. Use no-gap single-word text switch

    • Avoid multi-word overlap rendering.
    • Avoid "old word disappears, then blank, then new word" gap.
    • At switch point, update word immediately, then run float-in on the new word.
  5. Tune by adjusting shared constants only

    • Slow down/speed up by changing shared duration once.
    • Keep text and molecule motion parity by avoiding per-component magic numbers.

UX Guardrails

  • No overlap: old/new text should not be simultaneously readable.
  • No blank flash: no empty frame between text swaps.
  • No white screen: molecule area should not flash white during switch.
  • No drift: text and molecule switch timestamps stay aligned over time.

Validation Checklist

  • Text and molecule switch on the same tick.
  • Float-in duration/easing feel identical on both.
  • Repeated cycles show no timing drift.
  • Network slowdown does not blank the molecule area.
  • Build and lints pass after edits.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hero-motion-sync-ux is a skill published in the GitHub repository LiuYihey/Agent-Engineering (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 58 tokens to every session and 626 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
