.cursor/skills/review-and-sync-docs/SKILL.md

review-and-sync-docs is a skill for Claude Code, Cursor from lsampaioweb/ai-instructions. It costs 53 tokens per session (375 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A documentation-maintenance helper that synchronizes Markdown files with current code and configuration behavior. Markdown is the plain-text format commonly used for README files and project guides.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to update READMEs and other Markdown after changes, repair stale instructions or links, and review a selected scope or feature area.
Why use it?
It helps find documentation that became incorrect after code or setup changes while preventing unsupported details from being added.

Skill for Claude CodeCursor

Written for Claude Code and Cursor: disable-model-invocation in frontmatter, but also installed under .cursor/. Also seen: mentions AGENTS.md.

This is lsampaioweb/ai-instructions's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Cursor how to work on ai-instructions itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ai-instructions configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00375
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00187
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00075
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00038

Measured 10d ago against content hash 614f75f1a535, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

review-and-sync-docs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Markdown Documentation Sync Engine

  • Obey AGENTS.md (project root).
  • Present a read-only update plan before applying edits.

1. Scope & Analysis

  1. Resolve the target scope from the user-provided input.
  2. Fallback Scan: If scope is omitted, inspect uncommitted workspace changes (git status, git diff) first, then evaluate recent commits.
  3. Correlate code and configuration deltas with impacted Markdown targets.

2. Resolution Rules

  • Execution Target: Update Markdown only when code or configuration changes alter documented behavior or setup.
  • README Boundary: Update *.md only when the mapped change affects onboarding, execution, or architecture.
  • Style Match: Match existing formatting and voice.
  • Correction Protocol — Content: Repair stale instructions, outdated keys, and deprecated paths.
  • Correction Protocol — References: Resolve broken links and replace obsolete examples.

3. Safety Guards

  • Forbidden: Do not invent features, parameters, properties, or runtime behavior absent from the codebase.
  • Uncertainty Gate: If a documentation update cannot be verified with available code context, stop and ask focused questions before editing.

4. Review Plan Layout

Present a read-only update plan before applying edits:

Synced Files:
- path/to/doc1.md

Structural Updates:
- <what changed and why>

Verification Points:
- <uncertainties requiring confirmation>
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
