tdmcp-quality-audit

tdmcp-quality-audit is a skill for Codex from lucasmaher-hash/touch-designer-mcp. It costs 111 tokens per session (1,611 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of tdmcp-quality-audit, MIT.

A coordinated quality audit for the tdmcp repository, a code project that connects tools to TouchDesigner. It checks commands, tests, security, usability, documentation, refactoring needs, and coverage.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit command-line scripts, Makefiles, CI, security boundaries, documentation, first-run setup, tool behavior, and test coverage, then organize follow-up fixes.
Why use it?
It brings scattered checks into one review so failures, unsafe behavior, confusing user flows, and missing tests can be found and addressed together.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: runs codex exec. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents; installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

Good fit Use it to audit command-line scripts, Makefiles, CI, security boundaries, documentation, first-run setup, tool behavior, and test coverage, then organize follow-up fixes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00111 $0.01611
Opus 5 $0.00056 $0.00805
Sonnet 5 $0.00022 $0.00322
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00161

Security

Grade A, and why

tdmcp-quality-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

tdmcp-quality-audit

Use this skill for broad repository quality campaigns. It coordinates existing tdmcp specialists instead of replacing them: tdmcp-test-coverage handles focused coverage waves, and td-feature-qa handles tool/CLI/docs/bridge boundary QA.

Execution mode: hybrid fan-out/fan-in

This environment runs coordinated sub-agents rather than TeamCreate. Spawn the independent auditors in parallel, then fan their reports into one lead-owned plan. Implementation happens in small waves after QA verifies the findings.

Phase 0 - Context check

  1. Read AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, package.json, Makefile, .github/workflows/*.yml, vitest.config.ts, and existing _workspace/quality-audit/ reports.
  2. Decide run mode:
    • no quality workspace: fresh audit;
    • existing reports + user asks to continue/fix/re-run: partial re-run;
    • new broad request: archive prior reports under _workspace/quality-audit/archive/<timestamp>/ before a fresh audit.
  3. Check git status. Do not revert unrelated user changes.

Phase 1 - Scope and command policy

Create _workspace/quality-audit/00_scope.md with:

  • requested scope;
  • current branch and dirty-state summary;
  • commands that are safe one-shot;
  • commands requiring timeout;
  • commands requiring TouchDesigner, hardware, network, or credentials;
  • commands that are publish/destructive and must not run without explicit user approval.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
