multi-plan

multi-plan is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Luohaothu/everything-codex. It costs 20 tokens per session (339 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A planning workflow that asks several AI models to analyze a software task and combines their answers into one implementation plan.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan features, backend or frontend architecture, implementation steps, and technical changes.
Why use it?
It helps uncover missing requirements, compare different viewpoints, and identify affected files and risks before coding.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00020 $0.00339
Opus 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00136
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00068
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

multi-plan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Multi-Model Collaborative Planning

Advanced skill — Uses external model backends (Codex, Gemini) for collaborative analysis and planning.

Usage

/multi-plan <task description>

Workflow

Phase 1: Context Retrieval

  • Enhance prompt using MCP tools (if available)
  • Retrieve project context via semantic search
  • Verify requirement completeness (score >= 7/10 to proceed)

Phase 2: Multi-Model Analysis

  • Distribute requirements to multiple model backends in parallel
  • Each backend analyzes from its perspective (backend logic vs frontend UX)
  • Cross-validate results: identify consensus and divergence

Phase 3: Plan Synthesis

  • Synthesize analyses into step-by-step implementation plan
  • Include: task type, technical solution, implementation steps, key files, risks
  • Save plan to .codex/plan/<feature-name>.md

Plan Output Format

## Implementation Plan: <Task Name>

### Technical Solution
<Synthesized solution>

### Implementation Steps
1. Step 1 - Expected deliverable
2. Step 2 - Expected deliverable

### Key Files
| File | Operation | Description |
|------|-----------|-------------|

### Risks and Mitigation
| Risk | Mitigation |
|------|------------|

Key Rules

  1. Plan only, no implementation
  2. External models have zero filesystem write access
  3. All modifications by the orchestrator
  4. Present plan for user approval before execution
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

multi-plan is a skill published in the GitHub repository Luohaothu/everything-codex (25 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 20 tokens to every session and 339 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
