animation-implement

A guide for adding animations to websites with Motion, GSAP, Anime.js, React Spring, or Tailwind classes. It also requires a usable reduced-motion option for people who ask their device to limit animation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add interface transitions, scroll effects, SVG drawing or morphing, drag interactions, and small CSS-based animations, including reduced-motion behavior.
Why use it?
It helps choose an animation tool for the job while avoiding unnecessary layout work and inaccessible motion.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00050 $0.00406
Opus 5 $0.00025 $0.00203
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00041

Security

Grade A, and why

animation-implement scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

animation-implement

Pick one primary engine, animate cheap properties, and never ship motion without a reduced-motion path.

Choose the engine

Need Tool
React enter/exit, layout, stagger Motion (motion/react)
Scroll timelines, pinning, parallax GSAP + ScrollTrigger (useGSAP)
SVG path draw / morph Anime.js (strokeDashoffset)
Physics / drag React Spring
Zero-JS micro-interaction tailwindcss-motion classes
Prebuilt animated marketing bits Magic UI

Primary = Motion (UI) or GSAP (cinematic scroll). Use the other sparingly. Don't ship both heavily.

MANDATORY reduced-motion (the reduced-motion-guard hook checks this)

  • Motion: useReducedMotion() → zero distance/duration when reduced.
  • GSAP: if (window.matchMedia("(prefers-reduced-motion: reduce)").matches) return; before building the timeline.
  • CSS: ship the global @media (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) reset.
  • Content must be fully visible/readable with motion off.

Performance

  • Animate only transform + opacity. No animating width/top/left (layout thrash).
  • 60fps — verify in DevTools Performance. Kill GSAP timelines on unmount (return () => tl.kill()).

Output

  • The animation code, the engine chosen + why, and the reduced-motion fallback shown explicitly.

Guardrails

  • No looping/flashing/rapid motion (seizure risk) regardless of preference.
  • Don't mix two heavy engines on the same surface.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

animation-implement is a skill published in the GitHub repository m-binimran/dev-pack (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 50 tokens to every session and 406 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
