project-voice

project-voice is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from m3taz-ahmed/ai-globals. It costs 44 tokens per session (538 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project writing setup that creates two files containing a person’s facts and preferred writing style. Other content tools can read these files before producing personalised material.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the start of a content project to collect an interview, record verified facts in about-me.md, and document writing rules and examples in voice.md.
Why use it?
It avoids making every writing task rediscover the author’s background, audience, tone, and forbidden phrases. It also separates factual information from style instructions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00538
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00215
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00108
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00054

Security

Grade A, and why

project-voice scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

[SKILL] project-voice [OBJ] Produce the two foundation artifacts every content skill consumes — <project>/.ai/about-me.md (facts) and <project>/.ai/voice.md (style rules) — so post-writer/copy/proposal work starts from evidence, not zero. [RULES]

  1. [REQ] Interview first, no preamble: when triggered, the FIRST output is the interview questions. No summary, no "here is what this does", no options menu.
  2. [REQ] Collect: name/role, audience, 3–5 writing samples, languages (ar/en mix), taboo phrases, tone sliders (formal↔casual, terse↔verbose, serious↔playful), platform targets.
  3. [REQ] Produce .ai/about-me.md: facts only — bio, expertise, offers, metrics the user claims (never invented). Mark unverified claims.
  4. [REQ] Produce .ai/voice.md: operational style contract — sentence length, vocabulary level, dialect (Egyptian/MSA/English), emoji policy, hook patterns, banned words, do/don't examples extracted FROM the samples.
  5. [REQ] Read-before-write law: content skills (social-media-marketing, linkedin-platform, copy-frameworks, proposal-writer, cv-writer, email-marketing) MUST read .ai/voice.md before personalized output. Missing files → run this skill first; never invent a voice.
  6. [PROHIBIT] Never inherit another project's voice files. Never write facts the user didn't supply (first-person experience, metrics). Drafting ≠ publishing.
  7. [REQ] Refresh: voice.md evolves — on explicit request, update in place preserving unrelated facts; consumers must re-read the canonical file.
  8. [CMD] Optional add-on .ai/newsletter-voice.md for newsletter-specific tone layered on top of voice.md.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
