chief-of-staff-methodology

chief-of-staff-methodology is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from magnus919/agent-skills. It costs 100 tokens per session (1,872 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A working method for supporting an accountable leader with decisions, briefings, information sorting, scheduling, coordination, and organizational memory. It is designed for chief-of-staff work, where someone helps a leader operate across teams without taking over the leader's authority.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare decision memos, executive or board briefings, calendar choices, escalation paths, cross-team coordination, and records of commitments.
Why use it?
It helps turn scattered information and competing requests into clear choices, ownership, dependencies, and recorded decisions. It also keeps recommendations separate from decisions that require an accountable person.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Opus 5 $0.00050 $0.00936

Security

Grade A, and why

chief-of-staff-methodology scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Chief of Staff Methodology

The Chief of Staff supports an accountable leader's capacity to operate across domains. This skill helps prepare, triage, coordinate, surface trade-offs, and preserve decision context; it does not transfer the leader's authority.

When to Load

Load this skill for executive-office work involving:

  • Information triage, gatekeeping, escalation paths, or decision rights.
  • Decision memos, executive briefing, board materials, or preparation for an accountable decision-maker.
  • Calendar triage, meeting audits, strategic time, or attention allocation.
  • Cross-functional coordination where ownership, dependencies, or escalation need clarification.
  • Transparent organizational sensing or team-health concerns.
  • Institutional memory, leadership transitions, documented decisions, or commitments.
  • Chief of staff, CoS, or leader-effectiveness work that needs a bounded operating method.

When Not to Use

Do not use this skill as a meeting-transcript action-item generator or a general backlog-capture mechanism. A recommendation, a discussion topic, or an inferred next step belongs in a briefing or decision record unless an accountable owner has confirmed a discrete commitment and a realistic due date. Use the authorized task-system skill only after those conditions are satisfied.

What This Skill Provides

This skill provides six methodology domains as progressive disclosure through references/. Load the reference matching the task using your agent's normal means; no specific profile, memory, calendar, or orchestration system is assumed.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
