finance-operations-review

finance-operations-review is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from manishiitg/coding-agent-loop. It costs 30 tokens per session (753 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A finance review workflow for a small subscription business that combines current billing exceptions with their financial impact. It passes only validated billing findings to a finance reviewer.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review billing problems, explain their effect on finance, and hand verified exceptions to the appropriate finance owner.
Why use it?
It gives billing and finance a shared, source-linked view without treating an exception or estimate as a confirmed financial result. Ownership and approval boundaries stay explicit.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00753
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00301
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00151
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00075

Security

Grade A, and why

finance-operations-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/test_validate_handoff.py, scripts/validate_finance_artifact.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Finance Operations Review

Outcome

Coordinate Billing Operations Coordinator and Finance Analyst to review current billing exceptions and explain their finance impact. Add close or payables specialists only when a distinct owner or access boundary needs them.

When to use

Use for a small B2B subscription business that needs a repeated, owned finance review across Crews. For one Crew's weekly brief, use that Crew's schedule.

Discovery and user direction

Inspect existing Crews, selected skills, setup evidence, source access, current Automation, and policies. Propose a concrete team, handoff, first result, cost, and blockers. Selection is a proposal; save decisions in SETUP.json after verification.

Required inputs

Resolve entity, period, currency, timezone, billing and finance source of truth, named owner, invoice/refund/contact policies, metric definition, and approval boundaries. Authorized exports support the first route; live connectors are optional.

Plan and AgentWorks tools

Use two distinct ready Crews: billing-operations-coordinator produces billing-exception-queue/v1; finance-analyst receives only the validated queue and authorized source references and produces finance-impact-readout/v1. Reuse suitable Crews. After review, create missing ones with create_crew and stable idempotency keys; never pass their local skill names as global skill selections. Put the relevant contract fields and output path in each Crew step instruction so the Crew need not access the Workflow's installed Playbook files. Add blocking validator steps before consumers. Optional close/payables routes require their own artifact checks before activation.

Knowledge and persistence

Save source/account scope, metric and policy decisions, Crew IDs, artifact paths, validator results, run IDs, and stable case/action IDs. Re-read current provider state before repeating a case; deduplicate events and avoid a second customer contact for the same case.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
