inventory-availability-to-owner-action

inventory-availability-to-owner-action is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from manishiitg/coding-agent-loop. It costs 28 tokens per session (669 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Shopify inventory-review workflow for checking stock for one product variant at one location. It combines inventory evidence with a merchant decision and checks the result after an approved change.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to investigate stock mismatches, stale synchronisation, overselling risk, or incorrect availability shown to shoppers, then record the owner's action.
Why use it?
A product can have different stock at different locations, and displayed availability can become stale or wrong. This prevents treating all locations as one stock number.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00028 $0.00669
Opus 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00268
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00134
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00067

Security

Grade A, and why

inventory-availability-to-owner-action scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/test_validate_handoff.py, scripts/validate_handoff.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Inventory Availability to Owner Action

Outcome

Produce a sourced variant/location exception, a merchant decision, and observed inventory or storefront evidence after any approved action.

When to use

Use for a stock mismatch, stale sync, oversell risk, or availability presentation problem with a specific Shopify variant and location. Do not treat the whole product or all locations as one stock number.

Discovery and user direction

Inspect existing Crews, inventory authority, warehouse or supplier source, storefront, policies, and owner. Propose reuse or creation and show the plan before Builder applies it. Selection copies guidance and pending SETUP.json; it adjusts nothing.

Required inputs

Bind store, market, product, variant, inventory item, location, observation time, authority, oversell rule, owner, and buyer impact. Record whether the location can fulfill the chosen market.

Plan and AgentWorks tools

Reuse or propose Catalog & Merchandising Analyst and Store Operations Coordinator. Builder may use create_crew with stable keys. Catalog reads ProductVariant and location-specific InventoryLevel and emits inventory-availability-exception/v1. Validate it with scripts/validate_handoff.py --exception-only <exception.json> before Operations reads it. Operations reconciles source authority and emits inventory-action-review/v1. Validate the pair, present the exact action and current value to the merchant, then use a separate authorized route for any stock or storefront write. Re-read the same location and buyer-facing page after execution.

Knowledge and persistence

Save stable store, market, product, variant, inventory item, location, case, action, approval, and provider IDs. Keep source times, old and proposed values, owner decisions, and prior retests. Re-read current state before repeats.

Validation and reporting

The validator checks identity, quantity types, approval, and receipts. The fictional exception and review pass; the wrong-location executed review fails. The reporting dashboard shows open, pending, executed, verified, and blocked cases with source links and cost. The validator cannot establish warehouse truth.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
