rf-results

rf-results is a skill for Claude Code from manykarim/robotframework-agentskills. It costs 28 tokens per session (1,089 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A result reader for Robot Framework, a tool for writing and running automated tests. It reads test output files and returns summaries, failures, tags, timing, and suite details.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect one or more Robot Framework runs, explain failures, compare results, or combine rerun reports.
Why use it?
It avoids manually searching large XML result files to understand what passed, failed, or ran slowly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00028 $0.01089
Opus 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00436
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00218
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00109

Security

Grade A, and why

rf-results scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/rf_results.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Robot Framework Results

Use the bundled script to read Robot Framework output.xml and return JSON. It supports:

  • summary totals
  • detailed suite/test breakdowns
  • tag statistics
  • execution errors, failed test messages, and keyword-level errors
  • timing (keyword timing is opt-in)
  • single or multiple outputs (merge or combine with rebot)

If robotcode is on PATH, robotcode results summary|show|log|stats|diff is usually quicker and uses the project's robot.toml. See rf-robotcode.

When to use

Load this skill first, before reading or searching for output.xml yourself, when the user asks about the results of a Robot Framework run:

  • why tests failed, pass/fail totals, failed suites, tag statistics, slowest tests, execution errors;
  • a nightly or CI run to summarise, even if they only say "the robot run" or "the results" and never mention output.xml;
  • merging pabot or rerun (--rerunfailed) outputs into one report with rebot.

Not this skill: prefer rf-robotcode (robotcode results) when the robotcode CLI is installed or named.

Quick start

Run the bundled script through the project environment, so it parses output.xml with the Robot Framework version that wrote it. Script paths are relative to this skill's directory (the folder containing this SKILL.md), not to the project.

Single file summary:

uv run python "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/scripts/rf_results.py" --output output.xml --sections summary

Multiple outputs, merged (--merge replaces earlier results when tests overlap):

uv run python "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/scripts/rf_results.py" --outputs out1.xml out2.xml --merge --sections summary, details

Multiple outputs, combined under a new top-level suite (no --merge):

uv run python "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/scripts/rf_results.py" --outputs out1.xml out2.xml --name Combined --sections summary

Include keyword timing in timing output:

uv run python "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/scripts/rf_results.py" --output output.xml --sections timing --include-keyword-timing

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

rf-results is a skill published in the GitHub repository manykarim/robotframework-agentskills (38 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 28 tokens to every session and 1,089 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-01.
