Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00030 | $0.02086 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00834 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00417 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00209 |
Grade B, and why
rf-setup scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.
- No `sudo pip install`, no `pip install --break-system-packages`, no `pip install --user` for project dependencies. How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 143 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Robot Framework Setup Skill
When to use
Load this skill first, before reading pyproject.toml or answering from memory, when Robot Framework, a test library or its tooling has to be installed, added as a dependency or repaired:
- the project's tool: uv by default, venv + pip, or Poetry; Python version floors;
rfbrowser init, the Appium server and drivers, PlatynUI pre-releases;- a new Robot Framework project or CI setup;
ModuleNotFoundError/ No module named '...',robot: command not foundafter installing, externally-managed-environment, a wrong interpreter.
Not this skill: when the user asks for a test to be written or fixed, use the library skills (rf-browser, rf-selenium, rf-requests, ...), even if the library is not installed yet.
Quick Reference
Install Robot Framework into the project's own environment, never into the system Python, and verify it before writing tests. Every other rf-agentskills skill assumes this setup works.
Recipes verified on 2026-09-26 with uv 0.9.26, Poetry 2.4.1, pip 26, Python 3.12, Robot Framework 7.5.
Step 1: Use the tool the project already uses
Look at the project root before installing anything:
| You find | Tool | Reference |
|---|---|---|
uv.lock (or [tool.uv] / [dependency-groups] with a uv workflow) |
uv | references/uv.md |
poetry.lock or [tool.poetry] in pyproject.toml |
Poetry | references/poetry.md |
requirements*.txt, or an existing .venv/ without a lockfile |
venv + pip | references/venv-pip.md |
| Nothing (new project) | uv (default) | references/uv.md |
Don't switch a project to another tool unless the user asks. Converting requirements.txt to uv is shown in references/uv.md.
Step 2: Pick the Python version
Recommend Python 3.12. It satisfies every library covered by rf-agentskills. Floors checked on PyPI on 2026-09-26:
| Package | Python |
|---|---|
| robotframework 7.5 | ≥ 3.8 |
| robotframework-browser 20.x, robotframework-seleniumlibrary 6.9, robotcode 2.7, robotframework-robocop 9.x | ≥ 3.10 |
| RESTinstance 1.8 | ≥ 3.11 |
| robotframework-PlatynUI (new_core pre-release) | ≥ 3.12 |

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

rf-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository manykarim/robotframework-agentskills (38 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 30 tokens to every session and 2,086 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-01.
