pr-attachments

pr-attachments is a skill for Claude Code from marcusrbrown/systematic. It costs 60 tokens per session (12,320 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for adding local screenshots or other images to a pull request, which is a proposed code change for review. It stores evidence in the branch and manages image links in a dedicated Demo section.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to publish, re-pin after a rebase or force-push, or remove evidence images associated with a completed pull request.
Why use it?
It keeps review images tied to the exact code version and prevents unrelated or ambiguous content from being changed in the pull request description.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00060 $0.12320
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.04928
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.02464
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.01232

Security

Grade A, and why

pr-attachments scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/pr-attachments.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 765 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

PR Attachments

Publish local images as commit-pinned embeds in a managed ## Demo section of a pull request description. Confirm that every embed serves an image before the description is written.

The images are committed under docs/evidence/<topic>/ on the PR head branch and linked by commit SHA. Cleanup removes them from the branch once the PR is done. This skill does not capture screenshots.

The managed section starts at a ## Demo heading at column 0. A ## Demo line that is indented, or that sits inside a code fence, a quote, a comment or a <pre>, <script>, <style> or <textarea> block, is text and not the section. The helper never replaces or copies it, and it never removes a line outside the section.

The helper replaces or copies an existing Demo section only when every non-blank line under its heading is one this skill writes: an image embed (![<file stem>](<url>)) in the raw or the blob form. A heading, a fence, HTML, a table or free prose under the heading means the section is not the managed one, or its end was misjudged. The helper then changes nothing and reports unexpected-section-content.

Mode Trigger Writes the description
PR mode An open PR and image paths Yes
Embed mode mode:embed and image paths No. Returns a Demo file and a status line
Carry mode mode:carry, old= and new= No. Edits the new body file in place and returns a status line
Re-pin mode An open PR and no paths Only when a pin is stale
Cleanup Offered at the end of PR mode and Re-pin mode No. Removes the evidence files from the branch

Preconditions

  • git, and gh signed in with push access to the head repository.
  • The helper needs node 18+ on PATH. Check node --version once. Without it, stop.
  • Carry mode needs only node. The other modes also need the repository root: git rev-parse --show-prefix prints nothing there.
  • Run from the repository root.
  • Shell state does not persist between tool calls. Fill every placeholder in angle brackets with a real value in every block.
  • Every block that calls the helper starts with the same anchor lines. Reuse them verbatim. Set SKILL_DIR to the skill directory stated when this skill loads.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pr-attachments is a skill published in the GitHub repository marcusrbrown/systematic (28 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 60 tokens to every session and 12,320 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-24.
