Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.00563
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00282
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00113
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00056

Security

Grade A, and why

clipboard-copy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Clipboard Copy Skill

This skill enables copying content to the system clipboard when the user's intent suggests they want to paste content elsewhere.

When to Activate

Use this skill when the user:

  • Explicitly asks to "copy to clipboard" or "put in clipboard"
  • Says "copy that" after generating content
  • Mentions wanting to "paste" something
  • Asks to "generate X and copy it" (e.g., "generate a commit message and copy it")
  • Requests content "for the clipboard"

Cross-Platform Clipboard Commands

Detect and use the appropriate clipboard command:

macOS

printf '%s' "content" | pbcopy

Linux (Wayland)

printf '%s' "content" | wl-copy

Linux (X11)

printf '%s' "content" | xclip -selection clipboard

WSL

printf '%s' "content" | clip.exe

Platform Detection Pattern

if command -v pbcopy &>/dev/null; then
  printf '%s' "$content" | pbcopy
elif command -v wl-copy &>/dev/null; then
  printf '%s' "$content" | wl-copy
elif command -v xclip &>/dev/null; then
  printf '%s' "$content" | xclip -selection clipboard
elif command -v clip.exe &>/dev/null; then
  printf '%s' "$content" | clip.exe
else
echo "Error: No clipboard command available"
  exit 1
fi

Handling Special Characters

Always use printf '%s' instead of echo to handle:

  • Backslashes
  • Leading dashes
  • Escape sequences

Handling Multi-line Content

For content with newlines, use a heredoc with quoted delimiter to prevent variable expansion:

cat <<'EOF' | pbcopy
line 1
line 2
special chars: $var \n "quotes"
EOF

After Copying

Confirm to the user with a brief message like "Copied to clipboard." Do not repeat the full content back.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
