Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00079 | $0.01675 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00039 | $0.00838 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00016 | $0.00335 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00168 |
Grade A, and why
brand-naming scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 136 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Brand Naming
Generate names with domain hints and brandability rationale. Names the user would actually want on a business card, not a wall of filler.
Step 1 — Gather context (if not already provided)
Three things before generating:
- What it is: industry, what problem it solves, what it feels like to use
- Brand attributes: 2-4 adjectives (e.g. "bold, technical, international")
- Constraints: length cap, preferred TLD, words to avoid, or "none"
If the user gave all three, skip ahead. If any are missing, ask all at once. If they wave context away, infer from industry and use mixed strategy.
Step 2 — Generate 20 names across multiple strategies
Pull from the pools below. Use at least 5 strategies across the 20 names. Strong names often combine two pools (a foreign word that is also a compound, a Greek root that happens to be a perfect misspelling candidate).
Pool A — The OSS playbook
Patterns proven by Kubernetes, Vite, Docker, Svelte, Redis, Bun, Deno, Vue
| Strategy | How | Famous example | Domain outlook |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foreign word that means the product | Pick a language (French, Japanese, German, Greek, Swahili...) and find a word that translates to the product's core feeling | Vite = French "fast" / Vue = French "view" / Svelte = French-Italian "slender" / Zustand = German "state" / Jotai = Japanese "state" / Hono = Japanese "flame" | 🟢 usually clear |
| Greek or Latin root | Mine mythology, nautical terms, classical science. The well is deeper than it looks | Kubernetes = Greek "helmsman" / Electron = physics / Prometheus = Greek titan / Axios = Greek "worthy" | 🟢 usually clear |
| Acronym-as-name | Make a meaningful acronym where the letters spell a real-sounding word | Redis = Remote Dictionary Server / GNU = GNU's Not Unix / Nginx = Engine-X | 🟡 depends |
| Anagram | Rearrange letters of a relevant word | Deno = anagram of Node | 🟢 if coined |
| Unexpected short real word | Borrow a common noun that feels like the product but is not a literal description. Unforgettable, domain-hard | Bun / Rust / Go / Yarn / Babel / Parcel / Rails | 🔴 .com likely gone, plan for .io/.dev |
| Metaphor from the product's feeling | Not what it does, what it is like. Docker workers load containers; Tailwind is the wind behind you | Docker / Tailwind / Ember / Phoenix | 🟡 varies |
| Functional compound | Two relevant words fused into one | Webpack (web+pack) / Supabase (supra+base) / GitHub (git+hub) / Rollup | 🟡 |
| Portmanteau + meaning | Blend a domain word with a quality word | Debian (Deb+Ian, creator names) / Fedora | 🟢 |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

brand-naming is a skill published in the GitHub repository mehtab78/skills (1 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 79 tokens to every session and 1,675 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
