subagent-orchestrator

subagent-orchestrator is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from mekotenkov-ux/seomeatagentscreator. It costs 66 tokens per session (581 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of rules for deciding when to split work between AI agents and how those agents should coordinate.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to choose a collaboration pattern, define each agent's task and context, manage independent work, and combine or review the results.
Why use it?
It helps avoid unnecessary delegation, unclear responsibilities, conflicting edits, and poorly controlled permissions or budgets.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00066 $0.00581
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00232
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00116
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00058

Security

Grade A, and why

subagent-orchestrator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Subagent Orchestrator

  1. Прочитайте ../../references/subagent-orchestration.md.
  3. Оцените decomposability, dependencies, tool density, context value, write overlap, verification и economics.

  1. Выберите topology: single_agent|agent_as_tool|handoff|sequential_chain|parallel_fanout|critic_loop|agent_team|batch_map.
  2. Заполните role registry и delegation plan.
  3. Создайте один task contract на worker с disjoint ownership и expected result schema.
  4. Передайте compact context pack. Fresh context - default; fork разрешен только когда benefit и privacy cost записаны.
Immediate blocking work оставляйте parent.
  7. Следите за lifecycle, budgets, approvals, cancellation и completed thread cleanup.
  8. Требуйте structured result и artifact/evidence refs. Partial/failed/timed-out task тоже обязан вернуть запись.
  10. Запустите Subagent Eval Lab и сравните с single-agent baseline.

  • Default max depth: 1.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
