voice-call

voice-call is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from metaspartan/cybara. It costs 21 tokens per session (311 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for starting and managing agent-driven phone calls on macOS, including spoken prompts through the computer’s voice system. It also supports a mock mode for testing without placing a real call.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check call support, start or continue a FaceTime call, speak to the person, check call status, or end the call.
Why use it?
It provides a way to handle call flows from an agent while making it possible to test those flows safely.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00021 $0.00311
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00156
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00062
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

voice-call scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Voice Call

Use voice_call when an agent needs to place or manage a phone call.

Backends

  • mode: "macos" or mode: "auto" on macOS: Starts a FaceTime phone call and can play spoken prompts through the local system voice.
  • mode: "mock": Dry-run backend for tests, demos, and local verification without starting a real call.

Tool

Use voice_call for agent-initiated call flows.

Actions:

  • check_support
  • initiate_call
  • continue_call
  • speak_to_user
  • end_call
  • get_status

Useful arguments:

  • to or phone
  • callId
  • message
  • mode
  • voice
  • rate

Notes

  • macOS mode is local-device call assistance, not a managed carrier/VoIP session.
  • initiate_call starts the FaceTime call.
  • speak_to_user / continue_call use the macOS say voice on the local machine.
  • end_call closes FaceTime to end the active call.
  • Use mode: "mock" when you need an agent workflow or test without placing a live call.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
