resolution-draft

resolution-draft is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from microsoft/cat-agent-skills. It costs 42 tokens per session (296 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A draft customer reply built from the assembled case records and approved support sources. It adapts the wording to the communication channel and marks the result as a draft for an agent to send.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to draft answers about order status, dates, delivery investigations, and the next supported step in a customer case.
Why use it?
It helps produce a clear, evidence-based reply without promising refunds, credits, or exceptions that the selected process does not allow. Cases with conflicts or low confidence are sent to a handoff instead.

About the project

microsoft/cat-agent-skills is a static website that catalogs reusable instruction sets and related packages for AI agents. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.00296
Opus 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00118
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

resolution-draft scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Resolution Draft

Purpose

Terminal artifact for resolvable runs: a grounded, channel-appropriate response.

When to use

End of runs where the path is answer_from_records or instant_resolution.

Inputs

Full payload with approved sources.

Steps

  1. Validate against the contract; escalations present means this is NOT the terminal skill - go to handoff-packet.
  2. Draft: acknowledge, answer with the record facts (order status, dates, next step), citation available on request, next-step clarity (e.g., investigation clock for DNR with empathy, per #2.2).
  3. Mark DRAFT for agent send; the agent owns the send.

Output

Response draft - terminal artifact.

Grounding requirements

Every fact cites order/carrier/loyalty extract or article.

Constraints

  • Never promise a refund, credit or exception the path does not support (#3.1); never dispute the customer's account (#2.2).

Escalation / uncertainty

Anything below confidence or contradicted -> handoff-packet instead.

Files

What ships with it

5 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
