shift-plan-draft

shift-plan-draft is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from microsoft/cat-agent-skills. It costs 60 tokens per session (313 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A demand-import tool that gathers open orders and a forecast for a chosen production week into a structured planning record.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the start of a production-planning run to record orders, forecast demand, work-centre calendars, materials, and changeover data.
Why use it?
It gives later planning steps traceable order details instead of guessed run times, due dates, or commitments. Missing routing or material data remains visible.

About the project

microsoft/cat-agent-skills is a static website that catalogs reusable instruction sets and related packages for AI agents. People use it to search, filter, rate, and download skills for Cowork, Copilot Studio, and Scout, along with Copilot plugins and Scout automations. The catalogue entries are the skills, instructions, plugins, and settings displayed by the site.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00060 $0.00313
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00125
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

shift-plan-draft scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Shift Plan Draft

Purpose

Terminal artifact: the shift plan rendered from templates/shift-plan-template.md, populated only from the contract payload.

When to use

End of every planning run.

Inputs

optimized.json (full payload).

Steps

  1. Validate against the contract; escalations (gates, overload, protected commitments) lead the draft.
  2. Fill the template: sequence with families and changeovers, material-gated starts, utilization with changeovers included, naive-vs-optimized comparison.
  3. Mark DRAFT - the planner publishes to execution systems; this plugin never does (#5).

Output

SHIFT-PLAN-.md - terminal artifact.

Grounding requirements

Every line cites the engine output; the comparison table is the engine's, verbatim.

Constraints

  • Draft-first (#5): never claim the plan is published or systems updated.
  • Nothing in the plan that is not in the contract payload.

Escalation / uncertainty

A plan with unresolved late committed orders is titled a TRADEOFF DRAFT, not a plan.

Files

What ships with it

4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
