About the project

microsoft/cat-agent-skills is a static website that catalogs reusable instruction sets and related packages for AI agents. People use it to search, filter, rate, and download skills for Cowork, Copilot Studio, and Scout, along with Copilot plugins and Scout automations. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00134 $0.11689
Opus 5.5 $0.00054 $0.04676
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00027 $0.02338
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.01169

Measured 2d ago against content hash 07a4dcbe02d7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tax-preparation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tax Preparation

Important: This skill assists with tax preparation, provision, and compliance workflows but does not provide tax or legal advice. All tax positions, filings, and deliverables must be reviewed and signed off by a qualified tax professional (CPA / Tax Director / Tax Manager) before they are filed, posted, or sent to a requesting stakeholder or taxing authority.

Methodology and best practices across the tax preparation lifecycle: income tax provision and account analysis, tax projections and estimated payments, entity-election and tax-savings analysis, reasonable compensation, indirect tax reconciliation and audit-ready packages, tax authority notice/audit response, and filing readiness.

This skill supplies the tax-specific layer of each deliverable: the tax classification taxonomy (current/deferred, permanent/temporary, valuation allowance, UTB) and the one-discrete-tax-effect-per-entry rule for journal entries; the indirect-tax population, root-cause taxonomy and tax-determination traceability for reconciliations; the ASC 740 rate-reconciliation driver taxonomy for rate bridges; and the jurisdiction due dates, document requirements and Outlook mechanics for a filing-deadline calendar. Read Reconciliation Standards before you build a workbook: live formulas, tie-outs, completeness and structure lock.

A tax-authority audit is not SOX 404 internal-controls testing, despite the shared word "audit". Do not substitute a SOX workpaper template for a notice response package; see Tax Authority Notice & Audit Response below.

Classification-Before-Computation Discipline

Several sections below require testing an item against a classification rule - business vs. nonbusiness income, which rate governs, whether a provision conforms - before that item can correctly enter a computation. Apply this same discipline everywhere a classification test is named below, rather than treating it as one optional step among several:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
