Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00031 | $0.00735 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00294 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00147 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00073 |
Grade A, and why
parallel-research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 59 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Parallel Research
Run external research with Parallel.ai and write back a cited report. Use this when a coding or product question needs public-source research: prior art, standards, architecture choices, implementation techniques, thresholds, or trade-offs.
The bundled runner is scripts/run.mjs. It submits an already-framed query to Parallel, polls to completion, and writes a Markdown report. The skill owns the workflow and safety checks; the runner owns the API call.
Before You Call Out
External research is a paid call to a third party, and the submitted query is committed verbatim into the report. Never send client data, secrets, credentials, private customer material, nonpublic business plans, or unpublished case facts to Parallel. Research public methods and public facts in the abstract; apply them to private data locally.
When another workflow or indirect request would trigger research, confirm before making the call unless the user explicitly asked for research this turn.
Frame The Question
State the question precisely and ask for specific, cited findings. Name the figures, thresholds, standards, tools, papers, or implementation approaches you want back. Frame it neutrally: ask for evidence across the field, not confirmation of a conclusion you already hold. The recommendation is yours to draw from the findings afterward, not the engine's to hand you.
Good research prompts include:
- The decision or question being investigated.
- The exact output shape needed, such as a comparison table, risk list, implementation guide, or cited recommendation.
- The public-source boundaries, especially what not to include.
- Any freshness requirement.
Choose Depth
Depth is a property of the question. A quick prior-art scan can use lite, base, or core; a broad architecture or standards question often needs pro; a novel or high-stakes methodology question may justify an ultra* tier.
The runner defaults to pro. Top tiers (ultra2x, ultra4x, ultra8x, and -fast variants) can cost materially more per task, so confirm before using them unless the user explicitly asked for a top-tier run.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

parallel-research is a skill published in the GitHub repository MintedKenny/skills (2 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 735 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
