lint-and-validate

lint-and-validate is a skill for Claude Code from MisonL/Ling. It costs 49 tokens per session (508 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An automated code-checking workflow using linters, type checks, and security scans. A linter finds style and common code problems, while a type check finds incompatible values.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps check Node.js, TypeScript, and Python projects, using tools such as ESLint, TypeScript, Ruff, Bandit, and MyPy when available.
Why use it?
It catches syntax, style, type, and some security problems after code changes, so unfinished checks are not mistaken for completed work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00049 $0.00508
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.00254
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00102
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00051

Measured 6d ago against content hash 20f0b7abd95c, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

lint-and-validate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/lint_runner.py, scripts/type_coverage.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

代码检查与校验技能

强制要求: 每次代码变更后必须运行相应校验工具。在代码无错误前,不得将任务视为完成。

按技术栈执行流程

Node.js / TypeScript
  1. Lint/Fix: npm run lintnpx eslint "path" --fix
  2. Types: npx tsc --noEmit
  3. Security: npm audit --audit-level=high
Python
  1. Linter(Ruff): ruff check "path" --fix(快速且现代)
  2. Security(Bandit): bandit -r "path" -ll
  3. Types(MyPy): mypy "path"

  • 若未配置工具:检查项目根目录中是否有 .eslintrctsconfig.jsonpyproject.toml,并建议补齐配置。

严格规则: 未通过上述检查的代码,不得提交,也不得标记为“完成”。

脚本

脚本 用途 执行命令
scripts/lint_runner.py 统一 lint 检查 python scripts/lint_runner.py <project_path>
scripts/type_coverage.py 类型覆盖率分析 python scripts/type_coverage.py <project_path>
Files

What ships with it

2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

lint-and-validate is a skill published in the GitHub repository MisonL/Ling (8 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 49 tokens to every session and 508 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
