typo3-extension

typo3-extension is a skill for Claude Code from mittwald/typo3-smart-extension-builder. It costs 21 tokens per session (2,187 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for building TYPO3 extensions, which are add-ons for the TYPO3 content management system. It covers database tables, PHP domain models, controllers, plugins, and Fluid templates, which define an extension’s data, logic, and page output.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to scaffold a TYPO3 extension and create its data structures, PHP code, plugins, and Fluid-based page templates.
Why use it?
It provides an ordered process for creating the main parts of a TYPO3 extension, reducing the chance that required files or database definitions are created in the wrong order.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00021 $0.02187
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.01094
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00437
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00219

Security

Grade A, and why

typo3-extension scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

TYPO3 Extension Development Skill

This skill guides you through creating a complete TYPO3 extension using the available MCP tools. Follow the workflow below to ensure all components are created in the correct order.

Prerequisites

Before starting, gather the following information from the user:

  1. Extension key - lowercase with underscores (e.g., my_extension)
  2. PHP vendor namespace - PascalCase (e.g., MyCompany)
  3. Author information - name, email, company (retrieve from git config if not provided)
  4. Extension purpose - what the extension should do

Workflow

Step 1: Create Extension Scaffold

Use typo3_create_extension to create the basic extension structure:

Tool: typo3_create_extension
Parameters:
- extensionKey: (from user)
- phpVendorNamespace: (from user)
- title: (descriptive title)
- description: (1-2 sentences)
- version: "1.0.0"
- author: (from user or git config)
- authorEmail: (from user or git config)
- authorCompany: (optional)

Step 2: Create TCA Tables

Always create TCA tables before domain models. The TCA defines the database structure.

Use typo3_create_tca_table for each entity:

Tool: typo3_create_tca_table
Parameters:
- extensionKey: (from step 1)
- tableName: tx_extensionkey_domain_model_entityname
- title: (human readable)
- columns: (array of column definitions)

Step 3: Create Domain Models

After TCA tables exist, create corresponding domain models.

Use typo3_create_domain_model:

Tool: typo3_create_domain_model
Parameters:
- extensionKey: (from step 1)
- className: (PascalCase entity name)
- properties: (matching TCA columns)

After using the typo3_create_domain_model tool, inspect the generated domain model class to see which methods were created. You may need to edit the generated files afterwards to implement the actual extension business logic.

Step 4: Create Repositories

Create repositories for domain models that need database queries.

Use typo3_create_repository:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

typo3-extension is a skill published in the GitHub repository mittwald/typo3-smart-extension-builder (11 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 21 tokens to every session and 2,187 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
